This is the second or third year running I am calling a total boycott on this most trumped-up, over-commercialized day in the entire year.
It is no more than a deceitful ploy to part men of their hard-earned dollars in splashing out gifts on entitlement whores.

These ungrateful sows will demand flowers, gifts, dinners, jewellery blah blah blah, gimme gimme gimme!
But then have the sheer naked temerity to rescind and call men "unnecessary".

(And by the way, the only correct response when faced with THAT kind of attitude is to tell the sow "FUCK OFF PIG!")

I call on ALL men, not just MRAs to publicly return the favour on February 14th, which I have since called "Nomance Day" after Marc Rudov, and tell these entitlement whore exactly what they are worth - NOTHING.
Also, since men are unnecessary, these creatures should spend February 14th dating themselves, with a cat and dildo thrown in. Or simply stick their entitled heads back into their great filthy cunts.
Where it rightfully belongs anyway.

Axioms for the Feminist

I'm in my "Tom Leykis" mood again - in part spurred by a (very heavy) dosage of reading from some of the blogs in my Roll of Honour.

The current postulation is that violence against women is rising. Anti-feminist sentiment too. Given that the femistinks have been proselytising their anti-male and male hate agenda for some time now, with especial virulence in the past few years, this should come as no surprise.

I certainly do not espouse violence to women. Not worth it. That would be handing the trump card right into their very, entitled, hands. Instead, I advocate the use of disgust, scorn, contempt even, with encountering them. Couple that with a "you're-so-stupid-its-unbelievable" attitude and you have an interesting counter-offensive in the making.

So, in my best "Tom Leykis" style, I offer the following axioms for dealing with the femskank/femnasty:

She can pay for it herself.
She can fix it herself.
She buy it with her own money.
We do not want her (smelly) fish).
You do not go to her aid.
You do not acknowledge her.

Short as that list may be, it encapsulates all that is needed to deal with the "empowered" woman - the "you go grrrrrrrllllll" type.
I offer my rallying cry in closing: "Yo! Feminist! Do it yourself!"

The Zero Tolerance Man, a.k.a. ZTM, whose blog vanished several months ago has resurfaced!

It does go to show that good things will never die. Like the phoenix, it rises from the ashes to burn even more brightly than before.

Now known as No Marriages, under the Wordpress domain, it features the same, biting distaste for the femiskank that characterised the old blog. And good on him for that! At the very least, Wordpress is safe from Blogger's hate speech policy. I am seriously considering a move there myself.

Bar Harbor Maine prosecutor faces disbarment for prosecuting innocent men for rape
A Bar Harbor Maine prosecutor faces historic proceedings after the state Board of Overseers of the Bar Counsel issues a rare recommendation of finding probable cause of prosecutorial misconduct following a 7 month long investigation. Assistant district attorney Mary N. Kellett has been accused of prosecuting dozens of men for sex crimes even when evidence of their innocence was established. Several prosecuted men were accused by their wives or girlfriends in the course of their divorce or child custody disputes. The complaints investigated by the Bar Counsel Scott Davis cited witness and evidence tampering and presentation of false facts and evidence before the Court by prosecutor Mary N. Kellett.
The misconduct first came to light in the case of Vladek Filler, a husband accused of sexual misconduct by his estranged wife during their divorce and child custody battle in the Bar Harbor area[1]. Filler won and maintained sole custody of his children during two criminal prosecutions for spousal rape and the prosecutor’s appeal to the Supreme Court[2].
Renowned private investigator TJ Ward of the Natalie Halloway Aruba case conducted a two year investigation of the Filler rape case and called it a “fabrication,” publicly criticizing prosecutor Mary Kellett’s conduct[3]. The Maine Supreme Judicial Court followed with a decision noting prosecutor’s misconduct in the case[4], and numerous complaints to the State of Maine’s Board of Overseers of the Bar followed[5].
The Filler case shed light on numerous prosecutions of innocent men[6] in this small New England community which have been dubbed “The modern day Salem witch trials”[7]. Even on the eve of Board of Overseers Commission meeting concerning prosecutor Mary Kellett’s misconduct, new charges surface of witness tampering and misinforming the Court. The misconduct resulted in a mistrial and in the office of Attorney General’s office publicly pointing at prosecutor Mary Kellett[8]. A Voice for Men, an advocacy organization, is calling for disbarment of attorney Mary Kellett by the Board of Overseers of the Bar, and for her immediate suspension in the interim by the Hancock County District Attorney Carletta Bassano.

The politics of lies and instability

What do the two of them have in common?
They are women.
And we all know that women can't be trusted.

Let's take Diallo first.
You can't help but notice that the DSK affair has crumbled around the prosecution's ears. And why? Because she lied. SHE LIED. REPEATEDLY. SINCE DAY ONE SHE LIED.
It should have been obvious since day one that she was lying - and now it has been exposed that she has, has everyone who trumpeted her "victim" status scurrying for cover (read one example here).
Cyrus Vance, the New York prosecutor in charge of the case is also under heavy critical fire for the way it was handled. To make it worse, EuroNews reports that his office has also lost two recent cases, one involving rape, the other the planning of a terrorism attack. In all honesty, anyone who assumes guilt based on hearsay should be "Nifong'd", to use the current term.
Now Diallo's is being called a "hooker", her reputation is in tatters and exposes on her being a cheat and a druggie are floating to the surface. In short, she's a crook and a thief (see this article from The Spearhead), and her credibility is fast vaporising. Not that she had much to start with!
However, since feminism championed her, lies and all, I can only say - YOU GO GRRRRL!

On the other hand we have Yingluck Shinawatra, ousted premier Thaksin's younger sister.
That she is riding on popularity's coattails is evident, as is the way she has made promises.
Whether or not she delivers them is another issue, something Thailand, in the heat of the moment appears to have forgotten. This is eerily similar to the popular support which greeted Barack Obama's election, and which started cracking a mere six months later.
She is, figuratively speaking, a political virgin and certainly not vestal. Barely a week into a premiership and she has already been accused of vote-buying (see here) and inconsistency (read this).
It will be interesting, to say the least, of watching how she handles life as the (very visible) head of Thailand once the honeymoon period is over. Barack Obama only had six months before America came to realisation that it made a very bad mistake. I give this Yingluck creature less.

I've always said it: anything headed by a woman, be it country or corporation, is destined to decay and ossify, or doomed to die a painful death. Obviously we have not learned the lessons of, say post-Kohl Germany under Angela Merkel, or the struggles of Hewlett-Packard after Carly Fiorina romped through it, or how shares have dropped ever since Janet Robinson started her tenure at the New York Times company, or ... I could go on but this post should open a few eyes.

All I can say then is, buckle up and watch the show from the side boys - it ain't gonna be pretty!

I urge us all to help grow the database for we do not "light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house." (Matthew 5:15 KJV) - apologies for that Biblical verse again but the correlation was too good to miss!

For those of you who did a double-take at that title, rest assured, I am not about to go off into a preachy tangent, even though that is one of my favourite Bible verses.

That verse sprang to mind as I was reading the latest Spearhead article entitled "Outside the Shop Window" - a lovely piece detailing how more and more men are breaking free, waking up and refusing to be party to a system that has all but vilified them.

This should be a clear sign to (1) disdain women; (2) abhor marriage; and (3) unplug from the system. Completely. Never mind what they say about NAWALT. Never mind what others think of you. Never mind that people think you are making the greatest mistake of your life. Like Ken Knight (the author of the said article), I went my own way in my 20s. This was in the 1990s, in Singapore, and everyone pounced on me. Today I look back at the rising waters of feminism washing over South East Asia and I know I made the right decision. While I had (past tense) regretful twinges that the looks my peculiar amalgam of genes have bequeathed me will not be passed on, those have been firmly eradicated as I look my life post-GMOW and the great might-have-been of marriage.

Since we are on the subject, a related topic is the rise of feminutzi grief that men have become bystanders (see here). They are moaning about a dearth of "good men" which is essentially a situation of their own making. The writing is on the wall. The male populace is a simmering volcano waiting to explode and it will take just one tiny spark to set it off. This is prophecy just waiting to be fulfilled. I for one will be curious to see what the feminutzis' reaction will be when their throats are about to be slit, or gutted like hogs; white knights, manginas and Futrelle included.

Like many things, ages end and cycles close. Feminism's death clock has been ticking for some time now. We MGTOWs should just sit back and watch it explode. Or maybe implode. And trust me - it ain't gonna be pretty.

As the psalmist would say: "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;" (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2).

Christine Armstrong of The Lighthouse, a (somewhat dubious) domestic abuse services program running on (yours and my) tax dollars, has gone on a rampage calling people out by name and declaring that they should be placed on government watchlists.

Amongst some of the people she targeted were Paul Elam (A Voice for Men) and William Price (The Spearhead). She also published libellous comments on a disgusting website called Girly Manboobz (I won't even link to it - its that bad!).

Bad mistake.

Paul Elam has gone on the offensive to shame her (read it here and here) and the end result, cutting a long story short is that she seems to have gone into the woodwork.

But that should not stop us from giving her a taste of her own medicine. Here are her details as well as a lovely mug for all to deride:

De plus en plus (Extra! Extra!)

This is hot news of the press though I may be late in reporting it - coming from this side of the planet.

As Taco from his (long-forgotten) hit of the early 80's Tribute to Tino would say "get a hold of this one!" - the REAL name of Dominique Strauss-Kahn's (false) accuser is Nafissatou Diallo. And here's a lovely mug of her too, courtesy of an anonymous commentor from an article in Le Figaro:

It would be a case in point to note, as mentioned by Ferdinand Bardamu (In Mala Fide) that this particularly foul specimen of ordure is (1) a black female; (2) a DIVORCED (update from The Spearhead) MUSLIM and (3) immigrant (apparently she was originally from Ghana); and something definitely smells over-ripe here. We should also remind ourselves that black women are the most toxic and disgusting creatures to ever walk the surface of this earth.

IMO I find it odd that FRAs against male high-flyers and/or socialites and/or prestigious figures is fast becoming a trendy game of "witch hunting" for the accusers. And the bluer the blood the faster the accusations pile up. Consider the Tiger Woods case - within hours of that deranged bitch Erin throwing a blue fit, prostitutes were lining up to claim they had sex with Woods. Or how about the Rothlisberger case? And Julian Assange? So it stands to reason as being odd that a man like Strauss-Kahn, hitherto portrayed as a paragon of French society should suddenly stare a false rape accusation from out of the blue. What have they, these false accusers, to lose? Think about it - even if the case ultimately becomes inadmissible, they will likely find fame on their side, lucrative endorsements chasing them, book deals, a spot on Oprah ... the list goes on. But what is sweetest for them, perhaps, is that a member of the evil patriarchy would have been smeared/tainted by the accusation and jailed for it. You go grrrrrlll!

The femiskanks will always be silent on this one. Its grist to their mill after all - one less evil member of the patriarchy means one step closer to their ideal of female supremacy, with their Victim Card the ace up the sleeve. I make it a point to remind myself, constantly, after reading several articles on the subject, that women do lie. If they have to sacrifice someone, especially a man, preferably a boy, to save their hide, they will do so and without compunction or backward thoughts.

That is why I labour on, unasked, unthanked, probably reviled and derided, from my little corner of the Far East. to spread the word about these false accusers the moment their true identities are published and can be verified. I do it for my fellow MRA and MGTOW brothers. I do it so the groundswell against false accusations may gain momentum and, hopefully, credibility.

Most of all, I do it willingly and gladly.

I came across this reading the comments to a newly posted article (read here) on Athol Kay's book - Married Men Sex Life at The Spearhead.

Treating a dog with indifference is cruel. Treating a western woman with indifference is what she deserves.

This is from a regular commentator who goes by the moniker Peter-Andrew: Nolan (c), and his comments make jolly good reading!

Of course, the rabid femistinks and femiskanks will be quick to decry this; while those disenchanted with feminism's excesses will be equally quick to rally under the NAWALT banner. I myself would paraphrase that comment to read "all women", not just "a western woman"; and not just indifference, but outright scorn, disgust and loathing.

The Toilet Paper poll

Just for laughs, I posted a poll asking my (small) following to determine a suitable brand mascot for a loo roll design.

The contenders were: Sarah Palin, Jessica Valenti, Harriet Harman, Andrea Dworkin, Betty Friedan, Gloria Steinem and Germaine Greer.
Andrea Dworkin won by a sizeable lead - 4 votes. Sarah Palin and Jessica Valenti got one vote each.
Here, then, [drum roll] is the new face of toilet paper:

Incidentally, it was this creature (masquerading as a woman) who declared that all sexual activities were rape: "Heterosexual intercourse is the pure, formalized expression of contempt for women's bodies. Rape is the primary emblem of romantic love." I'd say that it would take a great deal of chutzpah to even want sexual intercourse with something like that! Not to mention copious amounts of alcohol and Viagra and I'm not even sure I could get it up!

Strangely, the more I look at Dworkin, the more I see a resemblance to Jabba the Hutt:

Fortunately, history seems wont to relegate her to nothing more than an embarrassing aberration. Let's hope, that with a little more effort, she will be a laughing-stock as well.

Disaster, thy name is woman

I haven't posted in a while as I have been very busy authoring new training materials. However, two headlines caught my eye whilst obtaining my daily dose over at The Spearhead which I couldn't resist:

In both, the women were only given small sentences or suspended sentences for their concupiscence.
As one commentator said: "When women commit a crime we always want to understand, but if it is a man, he just deserves to be punished." That is complete and utter bollocks. There is only one name for this type of double standard - it is the Pussy Pass.
Another commentator remarked: "She's a woman." Which, to me, says it all.

So these are but two shining examples of "women are better than men".
I am very sure there are more. Much more.
Then again, feminism has always trumpeted that "women can do better".
Let us see the evidence of that.
For example, can Japan get itself back on track with grrrrrrl power alone? Or can the grrrrrl power of Brazil's new President, Dilma Rousseff, solve the age-old problem of the street legions?

As an ode to grrrl power, in the early days before the Libyan crisis escalated, the Dutch sent three marines including one woman, to rescue a trapped Dutch national. From all the reports, it was obvious the womyn was sent to "man the guns", which were easily captured by the Libyan side. So much for that! (See original articles and stubs here.)

Perhaps the latest reform, in which Proposed Reforms Will Make It Easier To Convict Your Son Of Rape Even If He's Innocent might just tip the scales. The anger of men is growing steadily by the day, helped along by talk shows like A Voice For Men Radio and articles from The Spearhead. Every Men's Rights site I log on to has the ire bursting at the seams. Sooner or later, that will explode and we might see the return to the violence of the 60s riots, complete with burning buildings and detritus in its wake.

Maybe it won't come to that. Evil has a way of turning itself on the perpetrator. Like Ouroboros (the snake eating its own tail), this stab at more feminist superiority may just backfire, as Rex Patriarch has hinted at in this post.

A new era in Men's Rights Activism has arrived - a radio show devoted to men!

The esteemed Paul Elam (A Voice for Men) together with a Spearhead regular known only as Keyster are collaborating to bring this to us.

For those of you not in the know, Paul Elam is the (considered) enfant terrible of the feminist sphere with his works and writings. March 1st, when this long-awaited radio show debuts, it will be one significant step in sending feminism back to the boondocks where it rightfully belongs.

Over at The Spearhead, an article has been posted leading to something that has been published on Yahoo ("The 6 Mistakes Men Make On Valentine's Day") that is nothing more than orgiastic revelling of misandry. And, as Zed, the Spearhead author, rightly points out, "just kidding" is NO excuse for man-bashing.

I call, for the second time running, a BOYCOTT on 14th February:

Like Marc Rudov, I will gladly do nice things if the woman is worth it. Did you hear that? IF THE WOMAN IS WORTH IT. Most of the time, SHE'S NOT.

Take it from me - reading Rudov is a must-do. Its the best street education next to Tom Leykis. You will come away with an arsenal's worth of logical ammunition to defend against the stupidest, most one-sided and commercialized excuse ever fabricated by the merchant-maureens to part company with your money to a harridan who, most decidedly, does not deserve a single cent of it!

After weeks of wrestling with a horrendous workload -the school I teach in is in the process of accreditation, and a 4½-year old PC that decided he would throw up screen interference "for the heck of it!", I'm back in business. And that's after spending a couple of hours repairing outdated/corrupted drivers. I won't bore you so I'll pass on the gory details.

For those of you who commented, apologies for getting the comments out so late, but I've published them. And to Fidelbogen (The Counter-Feminist), that link to Gynocentrism Theory was excellent! Thanks for that. So good it was I have added it to my blogroll.

Captain NoMarriage and MarkyMark have both likened me to Tom Leykis. That I take as a compliment. There is no way I can be as gutsy/ballsy as Leykis - the man is an institution unto himself! I do claim to be inspired by Leykis, having heard several of his podcasts, most notably the one where a man named Angelo spiked his used condom with Arby's Horsey Sauce. I can't, for the life of me, locate the original though. However, at least two websites have referred to it - Elusive Wapiti and Pro-Male/Anti-Feminist Technology - so go and have a listen. Its a YouTube video but its more like a radio talkshow and its drop-dead funny.

There have been increasing calls to temper our tone. I refute that. This was at the back of my head for some time now and it saw birth when I read an article at the Spearhead: Should Men Tame Their Rhetoric? Further on, a call for donations descended into a not-so-pretty exchange between a (cloaked) mangina who goes by the name of Eoghan, and several of The Spearhead's regular posters/commentors. The gist of the exchange was that we should use rhetoric and civil speech to counter the feminists. This ding-donged back and forth between several commentators until E. Steven Berkimer from The False Rape Society lashed out with this gem of a reply:

You want to civilly talk to feminists like Futrelle. Feel free. But you really need to knock the shit off of telling other how they SHOULD talk. you don’t get to make that decision. I stop by his site regularly, and I just don’t think you realize that they consider you a joke. You aren’t making any kind of headway there. And then you have the temerity to come here, and say that men shouldn’t use brusque language. Sorry, but no. Men HAVE tried to be civil. And we got slapped down for it. Now it’s time to fight. You don’t like it, feel free to walk away. But don’t EVER presume to tell me what to say, or how to say it.

Hear! Hear! I cannot but agree wholeheartedly with that statement. My cats lash out at any one who rubs them up the wrong way, I will adopt that approach too. And sometimes when lashing out doesn't achieve the desired result, a (more) effective way is to ignore. Women cannot abide being ignored, especially when they are in their "shit-test" mode. Try it and see.

By the way, the original credit for the "World's Shortest Fairy Tale" must go to MarkyMark who published it from a submission by an anonymous reader (see original). All I did was pretty it up by setting it properly in Adobe Illustrator. I take no credit for the story other than the design.

Farewell Brazil, rest in peace!

That is exactly what will happen to Brazil's position as a rising power now that they've sworn in the first female successor to their wildly popular ex-President - Luis Inacio Lula da Silva.

Mrs Dilma Rousseff has already shown her true colours in her opening Congress address: "My promise is ... to honour women, to protect the most fragile, and to govern for all." (emphasis mine). Note that she places women first and everyone else second. That should raise the red flag on her feminist agenda if it wasn't already obvious just from looking at her smug mug.

According to Yahoo! News, "the coming decade looks bright for Brazil, with massive, offshore oil reserves due to be exploited and the country preparing to host the World Cup and the Olympic Games." Uh-uh, not for long. Not with a feminazi President at the helm.

Of course I stand corrected if she proves herself in the long run. That will be a rare case; a 66/1 odds inasmuch as the possibility of David and Victoria Beckham splitting up. But there are too many precedents for me not to raise this red flag seriously. Look at the number of women who have come to power and abused their position: Elena Kagan; Hilary Clinton; Sonia Sotomayor; Sarah Palin; Nancy Pelosi; Carly Fiorina; Angela Merkel, Harriet Harman, Jacqui Smith, Hazel Blears et al. Every single one of these women have brought ruin in their wake.

It can be said that the sun is at its very zenith when it starts to set. In the corporate world, each new change in management heralds the disposing of the old and the inculcation of the new. Brazil will now be entering the throes of its wane, a quick descent down the slippery slope of perdition. We, the rest of the world must stand and watch as years of toil will now be undone once Mrs Rousseff sinks her fangs in.

- If she objects, or decides to renege and "displays" her objections by disappearing to the washroom while the bill is arriving, ask the waiter to split the bill - yours and hers. Pay for yours, leave hers at her place, walk out and never call her again.

Sex

- Only if you must and consider it doing HER the favour.

- Always at her place or some cheap hotel. NEVER at your place.

- Use two condoms and fill both with spermicides, inside and out.

- Put a spermicidal pessary into her. If she objects, walk out.

- Fill the used condoms with Tabasco or horseradish sauce and flush it down the toilet.

- Reminder: her cooch is a sinkhole of filth and diseases.

- Axiom: she is an object fit for fucking and chucking. Nothing more.

In Public

- She can open the door by herself.

- If you are first in the queue, you are first in the queue.

- You do not give way to her. At all.

NO! to women

I came across this obnoxious Time magazine cover whilst reading a site I hadn't visited in a while - Rebuking Feminism.

I thought this was a fine way to start 2011 - by saying "NO" to women.
Strange how women will find ways and means to vilify and/or demean men. "An empowered woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle" has been their war cry for much of 2010 and the years prior to that. As 2011 dawns and the second decade of the Millennium is well on its way, the realization that the bicycle doesn't need the fish either is slowly but surely sinking in.

But wait! It gets better! The fish will proclaim, evermore loudly and stridently that it doesn't need the bicycle, up and until something happens in which the bicycle is needed - think changing the air-conditioning ventilator, or the water in the car. Suddenly, these stinking women expect men to forget everything, automatically assume the mantle of Knight In Shining Armour and rescue her. I hate to burst the bubble for these pompous FemiStinks, but Damsels In Distress belonged to the Age of Chivalry. And Chivalry is long dead, thanks to the Femiturds.

Therefore I propose that in 2011, we say "NO" to women. All women. Since they voted en masse for a Feminist President to take the Oval Office, they can look to him when things go sour, as it ultimately will. You might think that I'm unfair in tarring all women with the same brush. Yes, since they spoke not against the tide of misandry, they are ALL guilty by association. No quarter asked and none given in return. In a later post I will offer ways to say "NO" to women.

Incidentally, notice that the cover of Time poses the rhetorical question "Are they happy?" My answer to that would be I don't know, I don't care and I don't give a flying f**k!"

A Happily (Un)Married Weekend

As the year draws to a close, I thought it would be a good idea to log how an unmarried, confirmed bachelor spends his weekend.
What follows is an account of an actual weekend for me. Events will, of course, vary accordingly, as in this recorded example, my best friend paid me a visit.

11:25am -Wake up late after deciding to make good on a sleep-deprived week. Lie in luxuriously while the cats frot themselves all over me in a playful attempt to get "Daddy" out of bed.

11:30am -Give in to the cats, get up, shower, then feed and cuddle them.

11:50am -Look in fridge for breakfast food. Decide that brunch is a better option. Fry up bacon hock, hash patties, 2 tomatoes, 2 eggs, black pudding and 2 slices of bread slathered with butter. One pot of tea and 15 minutes later, I'm tucking in. (Note: how many women toting "grrrrrrrl power" today can even cook? I am told they are capable of burning a TV dinner!)

1:30pm -Go to nearby hypermarket to load up. I'll be very busy teaching in the new year, so it makes sense to load up on necessary items and convenience stuff like pre-baked lasagna and pizza. Since I won't be venturing out much, I do need to eat!

3:30pm -Familiar footsteps outside my door heralds the arrival of Craig, my best friend and fellow MGTOW. He wants a Dungeons & Dragons challenge but most of our regular "gang" are either overseas or busy with projects. We end up with the Scrabble board instead along with a barrel-load of laughs.

5:30pm -A horrified look at the clock reveals its too late for tea but too early for dinner. I raid the fridge and quickly whip up sandwiches, scones dripping cream and jam, and a steaming pot of tea. We sit down to an English tradition - "high tea" while the cats nuzzle my legs, hoping not for a bite but for some more love!

8:00pm -We are sitting in my favourite restaurant - Oriole's - for dinner. Craig has forbidden me to cook and has taken me out instead.

11:00pm -I'm soaking in the tub, wineglass in hand, Charpentier playing in the background and Leo, my oldest cat affectionately perched atop the water closet so he can be as near to me as possible but not get splashed!

11:30pm -I've hauled myself out of the tub, dried, dressed and curled up in bed with the latest installment in The Wheel of Time series. Leo is snuggled against my hip, purring like an off-grist mill wheel. We're both happy campers and I'll probably read until I fall asleep to the gentle vibrations of my purring cat.

Does that sound like a "happily married man" to you? If you equate "happily married" to being tied to a shrill-voiced harpy who pressurizes you into doing things because SHE wants it; the endless honey-do lists; the bills, mostly her bills; that is; the demise of time with your buddies; the demise of your own free time and space; the death of sex ... then you are "happily married" indeed!

Me, I chose the"road less travelled", the MGTOW path, and never looked back.

I've lived my life like that of the world's shortest fairytale (published below) and I'm much better for it.

Assange accusers named -HERE!

I am going to do my part in the war against feminism even though its months late.
I take the stance that it better late than never. Or worse, die regretting that never.

Here I am naming (and shaming) the two wimminz who trumped up fake sex accusations against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. The two LIARS are Anna Ardin (a.k.a Bernardin) and Sofia Wilén. Here are their smirking mugs for all to loathe:

Feminist Anna Ardin and accomplice Sofia Wilén, his accusers, met each other after both had slept with Assange within a short timeframe, and they subsequently joined forces to jointly accuse him of rape.

There is a lot of background on Anna Ardin, who is not only a feminist ideologue who has made sexual harassment accusations against her students at the University of Uppsala for not paying attention to her, but apparently was also involved in some intrigues in Cuba, from which she was expelled for her association with a right-wing feminist group. As for Sofia Wilén, she appears to be a young, aspiring photographer, a little odd, and perhaps suggestible, as it was apparently Ardin who convinced her to go to the police (original article with comments here).

From The False Rape Society comes this:

Anna Ardin, a notorious radical known in Sweden for her feminism views on how men achieve social dominance through sex, has been known to be bent on revenge. On January Ardin posted a blog entry on ‘7 Steps to Legal Revenge by Anna Ardin’, which included a statement, I’ve been thinking about some revenge over the last few days… An article on the blog can be read here - http://progressivealaska.blogspot.com/2010/08/strangest-blog-thread-yet-on-swedish.html .

It is also noted that this is not the first time Ardin has accused someone for molestation of a sexual nature in Sweden.

Ardin invited Assange to Stockholm, and was briefly appointed his press secretary during his visit.

The story begins the weekend of August 15. Assange wanted to attend a Swedish crayfish party, Ardin made the arrangements.

According to the Swedish newspaper Expressen, Assange sexually harassed a woman (Ardin) in Stockholm then two or three days later traveled 20km to Enköping where he supposedly raped another woman (Ardin’s friend). The Expressen concludes by an astonishing coincidence, the two women were friends. They decided a week later to go to a police station together saying that “Assange raped and harassed us” (original article with comments here).

And on Sofia Wilen (emphasis follows original article's):

[...] the stalkerish groupie who slept with Assange but got mad at him after he turned out to be an inattentive geek. There are a bunch of articles confirming Wilén’s involvement in the case, including her friendship with Assange’s other accuser, the psychotic feminist Anna Ardin. [...]

The charges against Julian Assange were indeed trumped up. Anna Ardin and Sofia Wilén planned it all. They went to the police station asking for advice, knowing the police would turn it into an accusation of rape. They’re also the ones who leaked the story to the tabloid Expressen. [...]

Anna Ardin and Sofia Wilén approached the Klara police station in Stockholm on the afternoon of Friday 20 August 2010 to ask questions of the police, purportedly about forcing someone to submit to STD/HIV tests.

The policemen on duty rang up prosecutor on duty Maria Kjellstrand even before the formal interrogation had begun. Kjellstrand - working with no paperwork at all at this point – issued an ‘APB’ for Assange and had the police search the Stureplan district of Stockholm for Assange, ostensibly to bring him in for questioning (and a tour of Swedish isolation cells).

The formal interrogation of Sofia Wilén was only concluded hours later and the interrogation of Anna Ardin didn’t take place until the day after - by telephone.

As seen from Anna Ardin’s SMS history, Anna Ardin and Sofia Wilén made the whole thing up - and even decided to leak the story to notorious Swedish tabloid Expressen. The story reached Niklas Svensson and others at Expressen at 19:52.

A colleague of Svensson’s rang up Maria Kjellstrand to find out if the story was true - and Kjellstrand, violating the rules of her office, told the reporter that it was (original articles here and here).

So it is VERY clear - Julian Assange's accusers are OUTRIGHT LIARS! THEY MUST BE EXPOSED FOR WHAT THEY ARE - LIARS (apologies for screaming but this has to come across as strongly as possible!).

Other blogs have already named and shamed these fine examples of ordure - The False Rape Society, The Spearhead, In Mala Fide to name but a few. I am climbing on the bandwagon albeit late, but I still feel I must do my part. Please link to the sites/blogs, visit them as often as you can, donate if you can, and spread the word!

My, how the time flies - where does it go?
Its Christmas 2010, and even though I've not put a new post in 4 months, I'm neither dead nor gone!
I'll be back in the new year with new writings.

Alison Moreno thought she had it all cushied up when she brought a sexual harassment suit against her former employer only to have it backfire, have a jury severely chastise her, and face a $1.55 million defamation counter-suit. YOU GO GRRRL!

This tidbit gives me hope that the tide is turning and the fembots are waking up to the ugly realization that the noose is tightening on them daily.

This is 21-year-old Malorie A. Crisp of Boise, Idaho.

She was arrested on felony battery charges yesterday after beating a man with a cane. Before or during the beating, Ms. Crisp attempted to disable the man’s telephone to prevent him from calling the police.

Given that the man was beaten with a cane, it is likely that he was elderly or disabled and Ms. Crisp seized his cane in order to give him a more severe beating.

According to women’s groups, abusers like Malorie Crisp do not exist, because domestic violence is all about perpetuating the patriarchy. Therefore, when a woman assaults a member of “the patriarchy”, it cannot possibly be domestic violence. Note how the article states that she was arrested for “aggravated battery,” whereas if it were a man arrested during a “domestic dispute” the police report would have indicated “domestic violence.” This is one method by which domestic violence rates are skewed to make it appear that women do not perpetrate domestic violence.

Jessica Joe of Oakland University thought it a grand idea to accuse two strangers of rape to get attention and support from her boyfriend.

According to police reports, Joe claimed that on April 24, as she was walking out of the CVS Pharmacy at Adams and Walton, she was grabbed by two men and dragged into a van parked next to her car. She told police that the men pulled her clothing off and one man drove around, while the other man raped her and was eventually pushed out of the van in the lot, according to the sheriff’s office. Although she claimed she struggled and fought to get away, police could find neither marks or bruises on her body.

A check with the store’s entrance videotape showed that Joe was never entered or left the store. Furthermore, CVS employees declared no one fitting her description had been in the store.

It is now clear that Joe will face felony charges. Whether she is convicted will depend on the strength of her P-Pass.

But what truly infuriates me is Sheriff Michael Bouchard himself. when he bleats out the tired old axiom: "When someone falsely claims a kidnapping and sexual assault it makes it that much harder on real assault victims and wastes precious police resources.' As several commentators over at FRS have stated, what about the men whose lives will be ruined by her petty whims, especially if her descriptions matched an actual, innocent man? At least she was named and we have a photo of her, while the men were not.

That is why anonymity is now paramount in a society where political correctness has run amok. So run over to the site and sign this Petition Supporting Anonymity NOW! And if you can, give them some money too. I did and its all for a good cause.

The name of this swine is Arelisha Bridges - a cow who claimed she was unemployed but was actually a registered lobbyist for a group fighting domestic violence. (Read the original article here.)

The irony? She killed her own husband five days after their wedding.

And what are the chances of her being convicted to serve time? Nada because for certain the P-Pass will reign supreme here. Already her lawyers are claiming she was abused in the course of that short relationship (!!)

This is an object lesson for men, not just men in their late twenties - the age of her deceased husband - but all men, as to the rewards that bowing to societal pressure and marrying will do to you. As The Spearhead itself puts it so succintly: "...it’s safe to say, a 26 year old man marrying a 45 year old feminist activist was a relationship destined to end badly".

Even in the comments the fact that she was a cougar feminasty was evident, with one commentator, going by the name of mgtow saying "Young men, older men all need to take note of this. These are unusual times, and you do not need ‘commitment’ or the sharing of living space to get poon. In fact, I guarantee you that you will be healthier, happier, safer and richer when you lay women without the excess garbage restrictions and baggage, such as sharing living space(no DV, no defacto, no joint bank accounts) or being subject to marriage contract law(no in-laws, no alimony, no child support if you guard your sperm supply). Of course it’s best if you can do without sex. But if you carnally fratenize with women, it’s in your best interest to see them less than adult human beings and more as pieces of meat for your enjoyment. Never be ensnared by that biochemical reaction in your mind you like to call ‘love’."

In that same thread, Rebel says it best: "If we can wake-up enough men about their situation, they might make the changes they need to make: for instance, ban marriage forever from their lives and leave women to their own designs."

A new vocabulary is birthed

Reading the pages of The Spearhead, I am always amazed at the amount of new stuff and ideologies one can learn.

Today was a locus classicus - I learned some new words to infuriate the feminists:

fembot - hardcore female supremacist with a punitive interest in men
femorrhoid - a female asshole, and a very sore one too
feminazi - like a fembot but spouts predictable and completely brain-dead verbiage
feminidiots - total lack of understanding of words
feminasty - self explanatory
femcunt - see "femorrhoid" above
fembitch - fat and hideous version of fembot and/or feminazi
femitard - retarded and/or stupid feminist
femislut - self explanatory

At the end of the day, no word coined in recent years can match the words of yore. I'm thinking of words like "cow" and "sow", Anglo-Saxon words that are innocuous yet carry a wonderful tang when used in the right context.

Try them and see. You'll enjoy using the old-fashioned phrases, especially since they are so rarely heard these days as to become deadly. For my part, I'm going to try using a word I picked up from the comments section in The Spearhead - "rogure" (to have sex with, a colonial form of the word "roger").

This is Biurny Peguero Gonzalez.

Gonzalez is a single mother who has admitted to lying in court to convict an innocent man of rape. She was sentenced to 1-3 years in prison by Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Charles Solomon, who has apparently decided to live up to his name. Gonzalez originally lied to placate her friends, who were upset that she had ditched them to accept a ride from her victim, William McCaffrey. [quoted from The Spearhead]

While the MRA circles are lauding the fact that "the wheels are beginning to turn", I voice caution.
Yes, the wheels are turning in that she was given a custodial sentence. BUT with a sentence of only 1-3 years, she will be eligible for parole in less than a year, which means she will have spent a minimal of jail time. Quite in contrast to Mr. McCaffrey who languished in jail for 4 years.

Even worse, where is the mention of compensation for the lost years the man spent in jail at the behest of her lie? Not a single word. The media had a field day with the naming and shaming of the man, but when its comes to payback time, they're blessedly silent.

That is why I will soldier on, in my little corner of the world, here in tropical Singapore, to name and shame these liars. That is the least of what they deserve.

Maybe she'll get it the next time around.

I was skimming some of the Feminist drivel (hey, its better to know the devil who haunts you!) across the Lunar New Year holidays when I came across this absolute gem over at Renew America. In it, it postulates the finding that feminists are a ragtag group of retards, incapable of logic and/or rationalization.

This is nothing new -I came to that same conclusion a long time ago. Writer Charlotte Allen at Harry's News, a subset of Angry Harry pontificates: "Where are the women thinkers?" Which set me to thinking. If women are better than men (as they never fail to to remind us), then they should excel in the one area where cerebral power determines whether you make or break. That area is Philosophy.

Excited, I fired up Google and embarked on a search for female philosophers. Here's what I came up with - the leading philosophers are all, without a single exception, male (Pythagoras, Plato, Aristotle, Socrates, Maimonides, Peter Abelard, Roger Bacon, Thomas Aquinas, Gilbert of Poitiers, Confucius, Willian Ockham, Niccolo Machiavelli, Erasmus, John Locke, Rene Descartes, Jean-Jaques Rousseau, Immanuel Kant, Arthur Schopenhauer, Friedrich Nietzsche, Sigmund Freud, Carl Jung, Søren Kierkegaard, Karl Marx, Bertrand Russell, Blaise Pascal, William James, George Santayana, Martin Heidegger, Jean-Paul Sartre, Michael Foucault, et al). The list of philosophers runs to several pages, classified by subject area and all male.

What about the list of female philosophers? One (count 'em folks! ONE) page! And of that list, I only recognized Simone de Beauvoir (a wobbly writer, known more her novels), George Eliot (female novelist by the name of Mary Anne Evans), Heloise (Peter Abelard's student and wife), Hildegard of Bingen, Iris Murdoch (novelist), Ayn Rand (novelist and playwright). Out of the 6 I recognized, 5 are story-writers (a novel is NOT philiosophy!), leaving only Hildegard with some credit towards philosophical thought.

If you ever wonder why women can never distinguish themselves in this field, with the glory of having their writings savoured and debated over the centuries, consider this beauty, ponderously pontificated by Susan Estrich (Michael Dukakis' campaign manager) about Apple's naming of the iPad:
"Is there a woman in America who did not laugh, or at least roll her eyes, the minute she heard that the newest, hottest tablet computer from one of America's most ingenuous companies was going to sound like a feminine hygiene product? The iKotex is what most people I know are calling it, with apologies to Kotex."

The thrust of her preposterously laughable complaint was that Apple needed to come into the 21st century and involve women in the upper strata of corporate decision making. Her verbiage shows that this is as likely to happen as pigs flying. After all, can she claim sanity if she views a (cute) digital device as proof positive of gender oppression? And you wonder why women don't make it philosophy or critical thinking!

I need not say more!
Maybe she/they will get it next time around.

Fortunately Massachusetts came to its senses and chucked her out, declaring with their votes that she was unfit to even sniff at Teddy Kennedy's shoes.

She also learned, like Mike Nifong before her, at the cost of her Senate seat, that prosecuting innocent men for crimes they never committed is not, and will never be, the formula to gain electoral success.

For many years, even as a late teenager, I was struck with loathing at the very mention of the name Lee Kuan Yew. Even the sight his (sneering) visage made me want to hurl something, anything at the TV/newspaper/billboard/whatever said sneering visage was plastered on.

I know now that my feelings were neither misplaced nor wrong.

The following is an article, itself excerpted from an interview which the old f****r gave to National Geographic magazine:

Speaking to journalist Mark Jacobson, Lee spoke about the ruling party’s liberal immigration and pro-foreigner policies as if he was their principal architect.

Though he said he was aware of the fact that “many Singaporeans are unhappy with the influx of immigrants”, Lee continued to insist that it is for the “good” of the nation:

“Over time, Singaporeans have become less hard-driving and hard-striving. This is why it is a good thing that the nation has welcomed so many Chinese immigrants.” Lee was quoted saying.

Lee described the country’s new subjects as “hungry,” with parents who “pushed the children very hard.”

“If native Singaporeans are falling behind because the spurs are not stuck into the hide, that is their problem,” he quipped.

There are 82 PAP MPs in Parliament and none of them have come out in the open to dispute the remarks made by Lee. Can we therefore conclude that all of them agree with Lee ?

This is as good as saying to Singaporeans in Hokkien – “you die your business!” which should not be a surprise to Singaporeans anyway.

Despite being the richest country in Asia after Japan, Singaporeans enjoy few social welfare benefits which explain why the country continues to suffer a brain drain of its brightest citizens yearly to other countries like Australia, Canada and United States.

The government can afford to lose billions of dollars in failed overseas investments without blinking an eyelid, but unable or unwilling to provide a basic social safety net for Singaporeans, especially those from the low income group.

The PAP has long eschewed any form of “welfare” for Singaporeans on the grounds that it will retard our competitiveness by creating a “crutch” mentality in the populace.

As such, Singaporeans are exhorted to work for as long as they can till the day they drop dead. One minister even urged local workers to be “cheaper, faster and better” when he should walk his talk first by reducing his own bloated salary.

Our per capita income is the fourth highest in the world, but our income gap as measured by the Gini Coefficient is the second highest in Asia after Hong Kong whose figures are skewed by a disproportionately higher number of billionaires. On the other hand, Japan has one of the lowest income disparity between the rich and poor.

This discrepancy is hardly surprising as the PAP has opened the floodgate to immigrants who flock to Singapore in search of a better life.

One does not need to be an economist to figure out that the influx of cheap foreign labor will increase the profit margin of big businesses and companies thereby raising the income of their owners and directors while helping to depress the wages of ordinary Singaporeans.

At the same time, business costs are lowered contributing to GDP growth without necessarily increasing productivity which explains why GDP is a very poor reflection of the distribution of wealth and the overall well-being of the citizens in a country.

Furthermore, a certain percentage of PAP ministers’ multi-million annual salary is pegged to GDP figures which may explain the PAP’s perpetual obsession with the GDP.

To the average Singapore worker eking out a living in the streets, GDP means nothing to him or her at all. All he/she cares for is whether his/her pay is sufficient to support oneself and family, to start a family, raise the children up and to retire comfortably when he/she is old.

20 years ago, it will not be too difficult to achieve the Singapore dream. Young couples are able afford a HDB flat relatively easily, they face little competition from foreign workers for jobs, the cost of living is low compared to today’s standard and before 2003, they are able to withdraw their CPF in one lump sum to enjoy life in their golden years.

Today, Singaporeans are facing an increasingly bleak, uncertain and insecure future. The monthly median wage of a Singapore worker is only $2,600, about the same 10 years ago while inflation has more than tripled, especially that of public housing.

A graduate fresh out of school will earn no more than $2,800 a month. After paying the tuition loan, one will have little savings left to buy even a car, let alone get married and start a family.

A new four-room HDB flat in Seng Kang cost less than $200,000 in 1999. A similar-sized flat in nearby Punggol now fetches close to $300,000. In the recently launched Dawson BTO project at Queenstown, a five room flat cost on average $666,000.

Acccording to a financial consultant, a couple should earn a minimum of $7,500 monthly before they should even think of buying such a flat and even then, they have to cough out a few hundred dollars every month in cash in addition to their CPF to finance the property which leaves very little for their retirement needs.

Life is never smooth-sailing. What if we are retrenched and replaced by a foreign talent in our mid 40s, met with an accident which renders us permanently unfit to work, afflicted with an incapacitating disease like kidney failure or get embroiled in some lawsuits? How are we going to continue support ourselves and families?

A netizen, Tracy Tan shared this heart-wrenching story on the Vote PAP out facebook:

“I know of a lady who has kidney problems, heart ailment and is half blind. She can’t work because of her health problems. She is 40yrs+, a single parent with a Sec 3 daughter. She is poor, sick and helpless. She approached Family Service Centre for help. FSC saw her need and helped her to pay her HDB rental, utility bill and conservancy charges. In addition, she received $300 per month and $250 school pocket fund for her daughter for meals at school. After helping her for two years, FSC recently told her that it can’t help her with the $300 per month and her daughter’s school pocket fund although her situation remains the same. She was referred to Jayakumar’s MPS. They wrote her a letter to SE CDC to support her case. The reply from the CDC was that “she had been helped for two years already and they can’t help her anymore”. She went back to her MP and he said that he can’t help her anymore as he had already written to CDC for her..”

The above story is not an isolated case, but one which we can easily identify with in our everyday life and it can well happen to you or me one day.

The PAP does provide temporary forms of financial assistance to the needy in the form of NTUC vouchers, utility bill rebates and waival of conservancy charges, but these are stop-gap measures which address only the symptoms of the disease and not its underlying cause.

If this lady is unable to find or hold a long-term job, then it is the duty of the government to step in to help family for as long it is necessary till her daughter complete her studies and start working.

There are many needy Singaporeans who are in dire straits and yet not able to qualify for state support due to its stringent criteria: one must be certified either permanently unfit to work forever by a medical specialist or completely destitute meaning that one has no living relatives left before one can apply for Public Assistance (PA) and even then, it is granted only on a case by case basis.

Another real life story: a 73 year old lady has to pick used cardboards for a living in Toa Payoh Lorong 7. She has a fifty year old son who is mentally challenged and therefore unable to hold on a permanent job. She could not qualify for PA because she still has a son, never mind the fact that nobody wants to employ him!

The PA scheme which is run by the Ministry of Community, Youth and Sports, offers only $330 monthly to its recipients which is surely insufficient to maintain a decent standard of living fit for a human being in Singapore.

A few years ago, the amount is only $290 and when PAP MP Dr Lily Neo asked MCYS Minister Dr Vivian Balakrishnan to increase the sum so that PA recipients can have three meals a day as an entitlement, he shot back: “How much do you want? Do you want three meals in a hawker centre, food court or restaurant?”

It is not as if MCYS is so cash-strapped that it is unable to provide more to the PA recipients. Dr Vivian just unveiled a $10-million dollar Community Integration Fund to make new citizens and PRs feel “welcomed” in Singapore. Why not spend it to help Singaporeans who have contributed to the nation in one way or another?

The primary role of the elected government of the day is to take care of its citizens who voted for it, not to compete with other nations in terms of some obscure economic indicator, flaunt one’s wealth to the world by saving distressed foreign banks or jet around the globe at the expense of taxpayers to lecture other leaders on how to run their countries.

Lee’s latest remarks will demolish any future attempts by the PAP to portray itself as a party which cares for Singaporeans. He has already stated very clearly in no uncertain terms: if Singaporeans are unable to keep up with the immigrants, don’t ever expect the PAP to help us – it is our business, not theirs.

For a young graduate struggling to start a family due to sky-rocketing costs of public housing, it is not the business of the PAP to bring the prices down.

For a middle-aged man who is retrenched because his company manages to find a younger and cheaper replacement from China or India, it is not the business of the PAP to help him find another job.

For an elderly man who has to work as a cleaner to support himself because he has no savings left in his CPF, it is not the business of the PAP to ensure he has three basic meals a day.

This is the kind of society Singapore has become under 44 years of uninterrupted PAP rule – cold, unfeeling and materialistic. Can such a country ever hope to attract the best talent in the world to settle here? Is it little wonder that Singapore is getting the “discards” from China and India and not their crème de la crème who prefer to migrate to U.S, Canada, Europe and Australia?

The PAP’s economic policies have already taken a toll on the low income group and are now affecting the middle class. The rich businessmen, doctors, lawyers, accountants and engineers may think they have “prospered” under PAP rule, but wait a minute – stop and ponder over the future of your children.

Do you want them to grow up competing with foreigners over a coveted place in a Singapore university? Do you want them to fight tooth and nail with the more “hard-driving and hard-striving” immigrants for a job which pays no more than $2,000 a month? Do you wish to see them perpetually stressed, frustrated and unhappy because they are unable to make enough money to finance their lifestyle? And lastly, do you really bear to see your children working for as long as they are able to because they are unable to retire?

Even for PAP members with connections inside the system – your futures are not as secure as it seems. Unless you belong to the elite, you may soon find yourselves replaced by their new “pets” from China, India, Malaysia, Philipines, Bangladesh, Timbuktu and god knows where.

The PAP is not even a political party now after the departure of the Old Guards in the 1980s. It is nothing more than an empty shell filled by department store dummies whose only purpose is to masquerade Singapore as a “parliamentary democracy” to the rest of the world.

As Lee puts it succinctly himself:

“To be the prime minister, you don’t have to know every instrument, but you got to recognise, ah, he’s a good violinist, he’ll be the first violinist, he’ll be the double bass. He will play the viola, he will have the trumpet, he will do the drums. Then you coordinate them and then you have great music. And if you already have a great orchestra, you can put a dummy there and you still got great music.”

Now we know why none of the 82 PAP MPs dare to contradict the old man – because they are all dummies who do not deserve a seat in parliament in the first place.

So Singaporeans, the next time some PAP MP come up to you and promise to voice your concerns in parliament, just remind them of the PAP’s mantra to Singaporeans:

“YOU DIE, YOUR BUSINESS!”

Finally, the man whom many see as a "founding father" and is almost god-like to an older generation of Singaporeans has finally been exposed as a hypocritical bastard who cannot and will not keep his bloody yap shut. And our votes keep him power!!!

For that matter, I had high hopes when Vivian Balakrishnan joined the ruling party. I thought, here's a man who has ideals, can speak out, and will be a shining light in an increasingly dark age. In less than a year, my ideals came crashing down around my ears as I watched him transform into a mangina, a cojone-less travesty.

Its telling that none of the media have broadcast this damning interview. So much for free speech and freedom of the press. For my part, I'm putting this on my blog so that people will have a chance to read it and form their own opinions. I don't want to see it.

I see enough of men being humiliated or portrayed as buffoons/idiots/cretins in TV commercials, soap operas, reality TV shows, even Hollywood now, to last a lifetime.

As Marc Rudov on The NoNonsense Man said: "If all of this is so funny, reverse the genders and run the same commercials again. Let’s all have a big laugh. What network, agency, and advertiser pinheads are greenlighting these anti-male commercials? Send me their names; I will publish them." Indeed, where is the outrage, especially from that (fake) guardian of morals Michelle Obama? Where are the mothers, the progressives, the purveyors of “women’s studies” programs, pediatricians, and child psychologists? There are none. There will be none.

This is now another brand to add to the boycott blogroll. The next time you see misandrist drivel, witness domestic violence, or watch a man being manhandled by his own children, remember that the brass hats at Pepsi's Frito-Lay division have given the sanction to do so. And because America (and the world) have kept silent, that is tacit agreement.

Double Standards - YOU decide

A 14-year-old girl sent a naked picture of herself to her boyfriend over her mobile phone. After they broke up a couple of other girls convinced him to send them the photo, which promptly spread all over Thurston County. Soon, a snitch alerted school officials, who then called the police. The boy and two girls from the original incident were promptly arrested and are facing child pornography charges that could have them all marked as sex offenders for life (read the original article here). But despite that threat, only the boy will actually face charges. The girl who sent the original photograph will not be charged with distributing child pornography!

This is a locus classicus of what is happening in downtown America and is slowly but surely spreading across the globe. As one of the comments to the article put it, that is why modern women mature into spoiled, pampered, irresponsible princesses, unable to take responsibility for their own actions and always, always blaming the men.

So our society has created a mess where men are vilified in the classroom, fed PC rhetoric, told their life's goal is to make women happy and do anything that assists her with her goals, while simultaneously told that he is a dope, idiot and unable to care properly for children, and now people are questioning where Mr. Right went?

He just became the stereotype that society has portrayed him as for the last 20 years. It is certainly no mystery that women can no longer find "Mr. Right."

The above quote came from Dr. Helen, a Knoxville forensic psychologist who has decided to side with men in the gender war. Her posts are sacrilegious to feminism but hey! we'll take what comes our way!

However, I happen to agree with her on this one. Wimmen have force-fed men a toxic diet for 40 years, and then, somehow, expect us to shake off the effects of this poison and metamorphose into doting boyfriends/husbands/fathers. Even worse, a new trend is emerging, of women who cherry-pick between ideologies. They scream for their "empowerment", but when it comes to a date, the man pays all the way! As MarkyMark (Ten Best Ways for a Man to Impress a Woman & Five Types of Men Women Avoid) puts it, "when the paychecks come, they want equality. When the bills come due, they want chivalry."

The shoe is fast moving to the other foot. Men are rapidly waking up to the lousy proposition that a modern woman is and remove themselves from the game. We are fast approaching a situation where the products of feminist revolution see their biological clocks implode while men stay away. Far away.

So, I propose we let these feminism by-products cry and scream over the supposed dearth of "good men", while we continue being "losers" - motor-biking, a pizza and some beers anyone?

Women NEVER lie ... or don't they?

Public opinion is surely beginning to turn where FRAs (False Rape Accusations) are concerned. The False Rape Society website has many excellent reports and blog entries where men, and even boys, were saved by the presence of video evidence. The complete article can be found at this entry.

I am running a full list, summarized of course, of the scum, oh sorry, women, who falsely accused men to cover up their own transgressions. This is following the trend from other blogs of naming and shaming false accusers:

Victoria Salter, 26, told police three 17-year-old boys raped her. Video evidence, filmed by one of the boys filmed the incident, proved the sex not only was consensual but that Salter was participating enthusiastically!

Neeneev S. Youkhana, 22, was stopped by police for speeding. She reported that the police officer had fondled during a pat down search. Police reviewed video from a dashboard camera in his squad car which showed the entire 10-minute traffic stop. At no time did the officer touch Youkhana.

Louise Johnson drove Andrew Tutty to the brink of suicide after he was arrested and suspended from his job because of her false rape claim. A video proved he was with his son at a train station 160 miles away when Johnson claimed he turned up at her home with the knife.

Louis Gonzalez, senior vice president of a Las Vegas bank, was falsely accused of rape by his former girlfriend Tracy West during a child custody dispute. Gonzalez was arrested and held in jail without bail until a judge dismissed the charges almost three months later. Video recordings showing him in a Las Vegas bank and airport helped save him from the possibility of five life sentences in prison.

Natalie Jefferson's claim that she was raped in a back alley caused an innocent man who had never been in trouble with the law to be arrested and held in custody as a sex suspect before a video cleared him. It turned out later Jefferson had a considerable psychiatric background and a problem with alcohol.

Erin Conley, an Indiana State University freshman, claimed that a man selling magazines in the student union approached her and convinced her to show him around campus before raping her in her dorm. Video footage of Conley speaking with her alleged assailant revealed discrepancies in her story, including the color of his pants. When questioned again a week later about those inconsistencies, Conley admitted that her report was false. Conley had consensual sex with the man and didn't want her boyfriend to know.

Joanne Rye accused another totally innocent cab driver of rape, causing him to be arrested at his home. Her claim fell apart after video evidence showed it didn't have happened the way she described.

Ashley Fulton's rape accusation unravelled when the accused showed a sheriff the cell phone video of the alleged rape - it was consensual sex, during which Fulton even looked at the phone’s camera and smiled!

Jessica Smith concocted a horrifying story of abduction at a gas station and a series of rapes over the next four days. Surveillance video from the gas station at the time she claimed the alleged attack occurred showed she was never there! Just in case she was mistaken about the day, police looked at two days' worth of video, and she never appeared!

Alyshia Shannyn Clyne's claim that she had been dragged through the streets and raped by an unknown man was disproved by video surveillance footage.

Gina Jaurique's claim that she was forced into the men's bathroom and sexually assaulted at a Wal-Mart was disproved after store surveillance video showed that she went willingly into the bathroom. She then changed her story, saying she had consensual relations with a "male subject she did not know," but that he then failed to pay her for the act.

Deborah Davies' claim that she had been raped by one man and subjected to an attempted rape by a second stranger in an alleyway fell apart when video of the scene showed that no such attack occurred. When arrested for perverting the course of justice the 35-year-scumbag hag had the temerity to parrot: "That's why women don't report rape."

Sarah-Jane Hilliard, 20, lured Grant Bowers, 19, to have sex with her, then cried rape and applied for £7,500 from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority. A video of the alleged "rape" clearly showed them kissing and holding hands.

Kirsty Woods, who had a history of mental health problems, cried rape after having consensual sex. The innocent man was jailed, but released when video of the scene of the alleged attack confirmed his story.

Emma Deamer claimed that the man with whom she had consensual sex raped her because she got angry that he went downstairs to talk to his flatmate instead of staying in bed with her. She told police he was a stranger, and he was arrested. The case was dropped after video footage from a train station showed them walking arm-in-arm!

Erin Casson falsely told police her lover forced his way into her house, threatened to kill her and then raped her. The claim was shown to be false after video footage was uncovered that belied the claim and showed the pair laughing and joking.

Chloe Dolton, 22, accused two strangers of raping and attacking her, causing them to be arrested. However, a video showed Dolton had met the two men before the 'alleged attack' and that the men had neither grabbed nor assaulted her.

Erica Donohue lied that she was raped by an acquaintance in order to conceal a consensual encounter with another man -- which, thankfully, was videotaped.

Shabnam Masood's rape claim fell apart when a video at police headquarters showed her behaving in a carefree manner when she didn't think anyone was watching and only pretended to be the suffering victim when police came around.

Video footage helped disprove Emily J. Petersen's claim that a police officer beat and raped her after she was kicked out of a bar.

Mandy Whittle falsely accused her former partner of rape, for reasons known only to her, forcing him to revert to drugs and alcohol before video footage showed him elsewhere at the time.

Charlotte Lane cried wolf after regretting having sex with a 19-year-old man. Video footage helped clear him.

Lori Anne Koehler claimed she was sexually assaulted while working at two different stores. During an investigation of one of the allegations, Koehler received a package that she told the store was offensive. In the package were condoms, rope and lubricants. It turned out a post office videotape showed Koehler mailing the package to herself.

Conclusion? = LIES! ALL OF THEM NOTHING BUT BARE-FACED, SELFISH LIES!

It is a sad indication of a sick society that (potentially) accused men must go about their lives with audio/video devices on their persons. But hey, if I have to do it because it will save my sorry ass from a long prison sentence, then by damn I'll do it!

If I sound harsh, its because we have given too much rights to women, tilting the balance in their favour, causing innocent arrests just on her say-so. IOWs, in a "he said/she said" situation, the man loses. That's why I'm going all out to throw the book back at the wimmen-scum. Well what little I can do from my little corner of Singapore anyway! If I had photos I would publish them too, just like I did with Danmell Ndonye.

The pussy pass has given women the world over the impression that they can say or do pretty much anything they want WITHOUT CONSEQUENCES. Women need to learn that they cannot abuse men with impunity; they cannot continually poke sticks in our cage without getting hurt sooner or later. It won't be long before, and mark my words on this, that a man, pushed to the limit of his tolerance, will punch the living daylights of a woman who takes him for a ride, regardless of the fact that that may possibly land him in jail.

I meant to post on this some time ago, but it somehow got lost in the flurry of activities in the run-up to Christmas last. Not to mention corrupted computer files and a pressing deadline ... you get the idea.

The original post comes from Rex Patriarch (read the original here), and I'm summing up the gist of it here.

In the original article, women were likened to large cats, each one typifying one manifestation of her sexual lifestyle and modus operandi:

Cheetah - Sexually aggressive girl who takes sexual advantage of men a.k.a. predatory slut.

Puma - Young woman who has sex with younger men a.k.a. predatory slut.

Cougar - Adult woman who has sex with younger men a.k.a. predatory slut.

It also never occurred to me that slutty women preying on men was a form of date rape, but the femtards are running out of things to accuse men of. Its basically pure projection on the part of the femcunts. They have to financially rape men. Since they are incapable of creating wealth for themselves, they must steal it from men, ergo. That is why they, unconscionably identify with the cheetah, taking advantage of the men who would otherwise avoid them.

As I've said it before, if it does get out of hand, pull your own pud - its clean (you can't catch STDs), its convenient (you do it when you want it, when you need it), you're in control (no femnag to satisfy) and, best of all, you know where your baby-makers are!

Ms Holly "cunt-for-brains" Leam-Taylor sent a saucy email to a small group of her like-minded colleague ilk.
The email was a vote on the most attractive men in her office.
She had intended it as a "light-hearted joke to celebrate Christmas".
Or so she thought.

She ought to have known that:
1. Corporate email is for corporate matters; and
2. Email, like anything on the internet, has a peculiar tendency to spread like a bushfire.

To say that her bosses were not impressed was an understatement.
It cost her her job.
Although I wonder if she left voluntarily or was made to leave?
Even she herself admitted in the email her actions "massively violates the HR equal opportunities policy".
But she did it anyway.
Stupid? Or shit-faced stupid?
Not much to choose there.

Women ARE Stupid -The Irrefutable Proof III

Since the last post about the stupidity of Jan Moir, much has happened to want to make me pen it down, but on retrospect, I decided it was too flippant, trivial or simply not earth-shaking enough to warrant a blog entry and thus continuation.

What happened at the supermarket, whilst waiting at the checkout fuelled the impetus to pen it down: my ears were assaulted by the whinging, nasal tones of the complaining Singapore woman. Turning, I was confronted by the sight of a middle-of-the-road girl loudly bemoaning the appearance of a pimple on (to her) her flawless complexion.

Now Singapore women are eternally whiny, their voices irking like a sheep in pain. This was no different. What struck me was her language. It would have made a pirate blush. Every second word was either an expletive, a curse or a word demeaning men, boys and other people, in that order. The gist of her running narrative, was a diatribe on how despite her looks and charm (!?!?!?!?), she fails to hook a boyfriend. The reasons for that should be obvious, though not to her.

While I will expound on the many charms of the Singapore woman in a later post, this young woman embodies the bad in her sex: lack of looks, charm and wit - need I add she was dressed like a tramp, was wheeling a trolley which consisted of her and her friends' oversized shoulder bags and one (count em' folks, ONE!!!) can of beer. But instead of looking within, she conveniently takes pot shots in blaming everyone else around her. Then acts surprised when potential boyfriends flee in the opposite direction. Along with everyone else.

Maybe she'll get it next time.

Thanksgiving thoughts

Singapore doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving. Its a little-known Western holiday. For some who deign a nod in the direction of Western culture and mannerisms, Thanksgiving is just another excuse to eat turkey.

I, however, have plenty to give thanks for - too much work (that means I have a job), too much housework (I have a roof over my head), too much laundry (hey, many millions of people have no clothes to wear!) and so on it goes.

What I really need to give thanks for is the fact that I'm not married.

Yes, you read that right. NOT, N-O-T married.

And loving it.

When I look at my peers, struggling with (naggy) wife, (whiny) kids and (mountainous) bills, I truly get down on my knees and give thanks to my Great God that He saw fit to not put marriage in His Grand Design for me.

I spent Thanksgiving with my best friend, another MGTOW like me. He had dinner at my place which I cooked (how many modern aka "empowered" women know even HOW to roast a turkey breast?), then we spent a pleasant evening playing Scrabble and laughing.

As the disease of Feminism darkens even Asia's societies, its interesting to note that like every epidemic, it mutates. Like unto swine flu, H1N1 which has now become H2N3 (!!), Feminism mutates to conform when its previous machinations turn sour. I'm thinking of Debbie Maken and her much touted Marriage Mandate. It would seem that in the past the femcunts ever complained that "marriage was slavery". Now in the wake of the Marriage Strike, when their "slaves" are fleeing to the hills to avoid marriage, these femcunts abruptly don the "conservative woman" mask and start screaming that "no one wants to marry me!". Suddenly the shoe is on the other foot a là Debbie Maken with even rabid feminists screaming for marriage, and it would be funny except that its not.

So I wish all my MGTOW brothers a happy, sane and single Thanksgiving even though the holiday is over. Long may we stand uncontaminated by skanks and sluts.

Where have we heard that name before?

Ahhhh - she was the one who wrote an article lambasting gay marriage which somehow managed to draw the death of Stephen Gately into the picture.

Deliberate? Or just plain S-T-U-P-I-D, stoooopiiid stupid?

Now I haven't any bone to pick if you are plain against civil unions of the homosexual variety. Its your point of view. You're entitled to it. But to write an article about it and draw in a celebrity whose recent death struck a raw chord in the music industry is just plain dumb. Even worse, the dumb bee-yotch managed to attribute Gately's death to unnatural causes (his homosexuality) and concluded, smugly, that there was no "happily ever" after for gay marriage.

But women are like that. Act first, think later. Then act shocked when the article drew an unprecedented 25,000 complaints. Even commentators on Yahoo! have purported that "if you manage offend a Daily Mail reader, you have gone too far". Did any of that register with Miss Jan 'shit-for-brains' Moir? Nope. All she cared for was the triumph of her skewed views, sans logic and compassion, and went to press with it.

After even record company Polydor registered its disgust, 'shit-for-brains' Moir did an abrupt volte-face . She issued a public apology. Yup, you read that right. She issued a public apology. She did not take down her article, nor retrace her comments, she just issued a public apology which, in the light of its oily attempts at mea culpa was really no apology at all.

Like I said, women are stupid beyond belief, as Jan Moir has demonstrated and is reinforced by the actions of Gema Revelles. For readers' interests, Revelles cooked up a false rape accusation against her former employer, then expressed disbelief that the "English authorities would take the attitude they did" and slap a nine-month prison sentence on her.

Maybe they'll get around to it next time.

No Ma'am

Lately, more and more blogs are focusing on what a bad deal women are for men. In Feminism's wake, we have landed squarely in a culture of allegations that have made it impossible for men. It has gotten so bad that recently a South American man has been jailed for kissing his 8-year old daughter on the beach!

Since the femnags keep trumpeting that women need men like a fish needs a bicycle, in-fighting along those lines can prove very rewarding. It has already been written across the web that modern women are narcissistic, egotistical bitches. Turn that "I, Me, My" attitude on its head by not pandering to her at all and the results may be entertainingly ballistic.

Simply put, modern women have a grossly inflated sense of self-worth. They feel they are too good for men. That would explain the influx of sites like Facebook and Twitter. My counter is equally simple. Become Zero Tolerant and have nothing to do with them. It translates into "if-you-are-too-good-for-me-then-you-don't-need-me". And watch them hit the roof!

May I then offer a few tips on erecting and maintaining this façade of a Zero Tolerance Man:

1 - Disdain

This is your best defence. Treat women like a nasty smell, a freshly squashed cockroach or turds is certain to make your point. I go about on public transport with a stony look at all times. As a friend of mine put it, "it makes winter seem warm". You may have to cultivate this "look of hate" especially if it goes against your grain. But the end result is worth it.

2 - Avoidance

- Treat women like they don't exist. Look straight through them. If they are texting/gossiping/reading while walking, don't turn aside, walk straight into them. And walk on without either apologizing or acknowledging.

- Talk to women only when absolutely necessary. Choose your words carefully and limit your answers to monosyllables if needs be. If they initiate the conversation, end it abruptly and walk away.

- In public, avoid women. On the bus, park yourself near groups of men rather than women, or choose to sit with men for example. If that gets branded you a homosexual, so what? Better wrongly classed as gay than to have your life ruined by false rape/molestation accusations.

- Do not let women chat you up at parties. Disengage at the earliest opportunity if stuck.

- Do not date. If you must, ensure she pays her share. Any women who sees you as a meal ticket should not even be given the courtesy of a night out.

3 - Boycott

- DO NOT MARRY! No fault divorce has become commonplace. Too common. And why, for that matter, should a man hand over half of his present assets as well as half of his future earnings to some undeserving bitch just because she got bored with married life?

- DO NOT COHABIT! In some countries and its becoming commonplace too, that to have a woman live with you is enough for her to demand a chunk of it. Letting a woman into your house is a ruinous decision. Period.

- AVOID SINGLE MOTHERS! They are the worst deal on the planet. Why pay for child rearing when they are not yours? They will resent you because you are not their father. You can't discipline them. You are not her first priority.

- Have nothing to do with companies who use misandric advertising or male-bashing tactics. If we can't abide by racism, is misandry any different? My previous post Misandric = Boycott had a list of companies to boycott. Check this website Stand Your Ground for updates to that list.

4 - Go Your Own Way aka MGTOW

- You always come first. Never forget that.

- Dress for yourself to look your best, not because some woman wants you to.

- Likewise drive the car you want/like, and not some flashy set of wheels to impress women -not worth it.

- Eat what you want, when you want.

- Pursue sport, hobbies, pastimes that are edifying to you.

- Work on self-improvement.

5. Always Know Where Your Sperm Are

- If your sexual drive gets the better of you, masturbate. You're in control, its easy, gratifying and instantaneous. The sin of Onan was, contrary to what the fire-eating Baptists may preach, interrupted intercourse, NOT masturbation. ("And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother. [Genesis 38:9])

- The blogs are awash with horror stories of women stuffing their vaginas with the sperm from used condoms, and then suing the man for child support when they get pregnant. If you must have sex, use condoms. And always keep the used condom wadded up in a tissue where she can't reach for it, or flush it down the toilet repeatedly till it disappears, or burn it.

- Use industrial strength spermicide inside and out. For safety sake, stick a spermicidal pessary into her as well.

- The most radical method is to get a vasectomy. Store sperm in a bank before going for the snip. After the procedure, obtain a notarised document from BOTH lawyer and surgeon stating that the surgery was carried out. Also obtain two or three sperm test records that show absence of sperm. That way, if the woman threatens you with a child-support lawsuit, insist on a paternity test and show her the documents. Then coldly watch her bluster and her dreams crumble. What the press has succeeded, thus far, is bestowing victimhood on the false accuser, hiding her name and her picture. Now, thanks to the due diligence of MarkyMark, we know what she looks like and her name!

That's what she looks like and DANMELL NDONYE is her name. Take note, all, for that is the face of a liar. Danmell Ndonye had a five-man sex orgy in a college bathroom and later accused the 5 men she had sex with of rape. Although Danmell Ndonye later recanted (as usual), the writing is on the wall for the 5 men she falsely accused.

An interesting comment surfaced on The False Rape Society. There, someone said that Danmell Ndonye hadn't been punished as she had been punished enough. Think about it he said, Danmell Ndonye has been suspended from college and is unlikely that other colleges will now accept her, Danmell Ndonye has a bad rap, Danmell Ndonye won't be able to get a boyfriend, etc etc.

You know what? Tough shit! If Danmell Ndonye can't do any of the aforementioned things, then its Danmell Ndonye's own fault. If Danmell Ndonye has jeopardised the reputations of an entire reputation of African women, then its Danmell Ndonye's own fault. Danmell Ndonye should have considered these matters out of hand before making that accusation. I care not one whit about poetic justice. If Danmell Ndonye is a false accuser, then it is my duty to let the world know that Danmell Ndonye is to be avoided.

You might have noticed that I used Danmell Ndonye's name a great deal. I got that idea from MarkyMark. He, too, used Danmell Ndonye's name at every conceivable opportunity and I quote: "As a public service, I ... am posting here for the world to see; men need to KNOW what this sociopathic bitch looks like!! I think it's only fitting, since she didn't receive any punishment for her crime."

I may only one single man here in Singapore. But ... little things can, and do add up to large amounts. I can, and will make sure that Danmell Ndonye's name is trumpeted across this viral media we know as the Internet. I also will make sure that in using Danmell Ndonye's name, the search engines will pick it up and know what a detestable creature she is.

If I had to give thanks for one thing, I mean the one thing I am truly grateful for, it would have to be technology. Today, with modern appliances I can get dinner on the table in 30 minutes, communicate in real time with my counterpart halfway across the world, buy things online that are otherwise unavailable in my part of the world, and the list goes on.

Which set me thinking. If women claim to be better than men, does that claim stand up to the test of time? I decided to hit my library to see if women had made any inventions which contribute to the betterment of our lives as we know it today:

From the list it is clear. All the devices which we take for granted today and have significantly impacted our lives have all been propounded by MEN. This is just the tip of the iceberg. I haven't even included those from history. So where are the wimmin? And where are their inventions? By the way I don't consider trouble an invention.

It is blatantly obvious. Men are responsible for what we have today. We are also responsible for no longer having to live in caves, which may well be a plausible scenario had we left it to wimmin.

Maybe they'll get around to it next time.

The Feminist Scorecard -II

Its been a while since I posted.

I've been busy, very busy. Also a change in the weather here in Singapore has brought the germs and I came down with a nasty cold and cough.

At least I've got work to do. Not unlike the femnags who sit around on their great fat tushies all day and bash men.

Which got me thinking.

I was listening, well re-listening really, to the B-minor Mass whilst marking student assignments and the thought struck me: Where are the female composers?

That got me excited so I Googled it.

Wikipedia was the first entry and it trumpeted a long list of female composers from pre-1500 to the present. Trolling it, I made a surprising (!?) discovery: in over a millenia, there have been only a few notable female composers and these can be counted on the fingers of one hand.

1. Hildegard of Bingen (1098-1179)\

2. Eleanor of Aquitaine (1122-1204)

3. Maria Malibran (1808-1836)

4. the Boulanger sisters - Lili (1893-1918) and Nadia (1887-1979)

And of these female composers, only Hildegard of Bingen and Nadia Boulanger have recordings attributed to them.

So, if women are better than men, why are the CD catalogues teeming with recordings by the greats - Bach, Charpentier, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky, Schubert, Schumann et al? Why are the performance artists clamouring to perform works by the very same, and are not supremely eager to champion a work by, say Amy Beach? (By the way, Amy Beach "composes" such racuous nonsense I can't even call it music. I don't know anybody who does!)

So the point is clear: in music the men reign. Maybe they'll get round to it next time.

Parade or Farce?

That's what I asked myself after watching an encore telecast of our Nation's 44th Independence celebrations a.k.a. the National Day Parade.

To begin with, the traditional march-past was relegated to a minor episode in the shindig -Chapter 3 for the record. Now, Singapore's defences may not be much, unlike Brazil or Argentina who, when they celebrate Independence, they trot out all their colours and it takes all day to march past. But this is a parade, hello-o-o-o?

Instead, what we had was a history of Singapore "told in 10 chapters" according to the commentators. First up, founding our Island Nation with ham actors Mark Lee and Suhaimi Yusof playing Parameswara and Sang Nila Utama respectively. Backed by a swirling melange of secondary school students -this year's "choir"- they hammed it up big time. Oh well, I guess there are worse ways to narrate history.

And that "choir"! Now yours truly was honoured to be in the very first parade that incorporated a choral element way back in 1981. We not only had to sing the newest songs composed for the nation, but re-learn existing ones with 4-part harmony! A very Villa-Lobos-esque moment occurred in 1983 when we were told that the pledge for that year would not be recited but sung! Anyway, this year's "choir" did more running around waving great paws made of some strange orange material rather than singing! And if a choir's not to sing, then WTF are they there for? They did not even sing the National Anthem!

The second chapter is a long drawn out affair on "Defending Our Nation". All I can say is that its elaborately staged, interspersing CNA-esque footage with our "military assets" (commentator's words) doing everything from neutralising bombs to disarming terrorists. Hey, they'd better be as good if the real thing comes along!

This year's highlight was to have been a united Pledge Moment at 8:22pm on the day itself. I was at the supermarket with my mother at that exact same time and, do you know, even when it was announced, no one stopped to recite the Pledge? Talk about National Solidarity!

I won't say anymore. Patriotism is fine when you are swept away by the heat of the moment, i.e. watching the parade at Marina Bay itself. Cast in a colder light the "parade" um ... doesn't hold up. They've had their share of lulus in the past, such as an enormous cake-like edifice that was the crowning glory of the 25th Parade in 1990; or the appearance of the season 1 Singapore Idol finalists in 40th year parade. But this!

I won't be a sourpuss so ... Happy 44th Birthday Singapore!

But we'll certainly have to do better with a display which is more National Day Farce than National Day Parade!

Lately the blogs are all abuzz with how women are better than men.

Or not.

So in this new series, I thought I'd take a look at all the areas where women claim to be better than men. And what better place to start with than the Nobel Prize?

The Nobel Prize has been awarded since 1901, and is always given to outstanding achievements in the fields of Chemistry, Physiology/Medicine, Physics, Literature and Peace. There is also an associated prize, The Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel. Instituted by Sweden's central bank in 1968, this was first awarded in 1969. With the sole exception of the Peace category, all the major contending categories are male-dominated.

Since 1901, there have been 754 male Nobel Prize winners and 35 female ones. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_female_Nobel_laureates) 35 wimmen in a century, with many years having no female nominee at all. The numbers speak for themselves.

Maybe they'll get round to it next time.

Blaming ALL Feminists is BAD!!

I came across this whilst searching for quotes to enliven my next few posts when I came across this. Its from a blog called Hunting For Archetypes (http://huntingforarchetypes.blogspot.com/) and its a good read, albeit somewhat inflammatory. A private message was attacked and the attack is summarized as: "Real" feminists (from the early 20th century) would vomit acid if they knew what would happen to "their" movement. The people calling themselves that today are usually vile people who hijacked a noble cause. Therefore, it's unfair to label all feminists as being the same."

Well, it's "actual Feminists" tough luck then, because present day Feminists are female-supremacist manhaters, and their reputation is well earned, and will only get worse (I hope and pray)।

The ideology, and more importantly the RESULTS of the ideology, are destructive, divisive, sexist, and morally repugnant. Adherence to feminist principles has led to laws and policies which have almost completely succeeded in sundering society right down gender lines, with two-tier citizenship in all but name.

I don't care one iota if hundreds or even thousands of "good feminists" are "unfairly" slighted by inclusion. If they were such "good Feminists" they wouldn't have allowed this to happen. Failing that, they would be ACTIVELY supporting men's rights organizations, rather than submitting them to a tortuous propaganda smear job.

The proof is in the pudding, and quite frankly NONE (and I'm dead serious when I say this), absolutely none of you have shown any way in which women are actually "oppressed", and I can show inequality ENSHRINED IN LAW against men....and you say "that's justified" by Patriarchy Theory. Fair enough, I say "prove it" since all these things were done in the name of this theory.

Know what?

NONE of you ever have. Not one of you can even explain what it means beyond a vague "men are in charge" definition. None of you can show a single benefit of any importance to men as a result of societal bias, let alone socially condoned behaviour or even law. There's PLENTY of evidence of it going the other way though.

So do I think every single person who self-identifies as a Feminist deserves to be lumped in with the "extremists"?

You bet your ass I do.

Misandric Company = Boycott

Stand Your Ground (http://www.standyourground.com/boyc.php) has a fabulous list of companies that ABSOLUTELY must be boycotted from the misandric tone of their advertising. This ranges from mildy offensive (but offensive nevertheless) jokes making fun of men, to downright odious man-bashing.

While most of the companies are American, quite a few stand out because they have reached an overseas audience too. Unfortunately, these are companies whom we ourselves patronize with nary a second thought as to the tenor of their advertising/marketing. This goes to prove that if we spread the message as far as we can reach, these companies will feel the loss of revenue and (hopefully) change their tune. Even though some of these ads are long gone, we must show these companies that MRAs are like elephants - we never forget. And if by not forgetting we vote with our feet as well as with our dollars, so much the better!

If these companies blatantly profit off man-bashing then I, for one, do not want my (hard-earned) dollars to go anywhere near them. Simply put, they do not deserve it.

The MRA Movement is wider than you think it is ...

Every day, as I read the blogs I'm "tuned" into, I'm seeing more and more links to anti-misandry.

This can only be a good thing.

However, most of these sites still just bewail the sad state of affairs. We, as men, still have to take the reins and not figuratively raise the white flag of surrender just because Feminism keeps shifting the goal post. Most MRA sites have concluded that Feminism a.k.a Fembots a.k.a. Femcunts a.k.a. Feminazis are incapable of logic. They just spew their vitriol and/or cut off anyone attempting to reason with them. This, then, is one of the golden rules for dealing with the abovementioned trash. Simply, and coldly state the facts, pointing out the glaring omissions in her faulty logic and watch her take flight.

I will also urge my male friends to use other mobile phones such as Samsung rather than Nokia. If enough of us boycott the brand, it should send a wake up call to said companies that the male dollar is just as valuable as the Femcunt one. Unless said companies are as arrogant as the Singapore government, who, at one time sought to persecute the gay community but said nothing when it came to receiving business from the "pink dollar".

The Feminist Mistake

Suffice to say, its not the sort of thing I'd ideally want to read on the Fourth of July holiday. I also chose not respond to the post comment-wise, but saved it to expound here on my own blog.

This woman, Kim, begins in typical feminazi-style: "You can NOT blame this ALL on women. It’s not the women running the show when it comes to passing laws, its men. But you already knew this. So why are the MRAs bashing women?" I wonder if she'd just fallen off the turnip truck to make a statement like this. Where have the women been if not running the show for the last 40 years? Plus making snide statements along the way like The man is the head of the house and the women the neck, but its the neck that turns the head. As further proof of this exploitative manipulation, witness what the femcunts did to Obama's stimulus package ["No Country For Burly Men", http://dontmarry.wordpress.com/2009/06/23/no-country-for-burly-men/].

She then goes into an orgy of whinging about being indoctrinated into the feminist mentality, about how it coloured her peceptions etc etc. At the heart of this crap (yes, that's what it is) is still the Entitlement Princess' voice - "me", "me", "me"; "I", "I", "I"; "gimme", "gimme", "gimme" (but alas for her, no Man After Midnight).

After her self-pitying and self-proselytising, the heart of the matter is the paragraph where she claims women want to hear the magic words. That women are still loved, still wanted, will still be taken care of by men. Uh, uh darling. I don't think so. After 4 decades of being told that "a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle", and force-fed the notion that men are no more than cannon-fodder in the gender war, guess what? Men have walked away! Its a surprising action. Where the masses would have expected men to fight, tooth and nail, for what's right, instead men have chosen to vote with their feet. They walked away. And are still walking away. As fast as their feet will carry them if I may add.

The worst is when she claims that feminism is a mistake. A MISTAKE!!!! And to even suggest that men are culpable in the perpetration of this odious "mistake" is too much. I speak for myself here. But I cannot, in all honesty, think of even ONE man, after 40 years of feminist claptrap, will willingly crawl contritely, cap in hand, when a woman crooks her finger and decides to write off 40 years of demonizing men as "A MISTAKE".

She then claims: "These young women are going through this, they are hurting. They aren’t acting this way because they like it. They act this way because they are told these things, and now they are lost." This is complete and utter bollocks. Women get their kicks from demeaning men, preferably publicly because they feel its cool to do so. It gives them power - Empowerment (to use a feminazi term) if you will. Then to turn around and utter that "its ok to NEED a man. Just say the words and you’ll hear the sighs of a million women in unison from across this country" is hypocrisy at its feminist best. This, with a brazen demand for, but couched in hypocritical mea culpa that we men turn around and clean up feminism's shit? Most men would say in response "STFU" and "FOS" (I'll leave you to decode those acronyms yourself!).

Feminism has already seen the signs of its implosion. Its hold was vacuous and tenuous at best. Men do not need to apologize for 40 years of Feminism. We neither wanted nor condoned Feminism although it was foisted on us nonetheless. Nor should we tolerate "mistakes" like Andrea Dworkin, Betty Friedan, Maureen O'Dowd and their ilk. It is the spawn of Feminism, the armies of women today crying out that no man will even look their way who should atone for the grievous sins they have committed against men. And beg to be restored to their rightful places as wives and mothers. Preferably on their knees.

A change in direction

Realizing that more than a year has slipped by with no post is disconcerting.

Realizing that notable luminaries in the Mens' Rights Activism (MRA) circle -MarkyMark for one- has added you to his blogroll and you have no new posts to show is downright dismaying.

In the past I was a lurker on the boards and forums for Mens' Rights, along with notable websites for anti-misandry. Getting into a state of righteous indignation was well and good. BUT ... I also realized that getting all worked up from the comfort of your armchair while others pulled the plough was not cool. So I have decided that my hand must till the land too.

Unfortunately I am only one man, and one man in Singapore where misandry is slowly but surely encroaching. What is one to do? Campaigning against Singapore's draconian government is folly. I can, thus, only spread the word by blogging. Hopefully men will read, open their eyes and above all, know what is befalling them.

All my previous posts were carefully "cooked" before being published. This ensured I had said what needed saying in the best possible language. While I am not about to remove those older postings, current and future posts will now reflect what's currently happening, especially if the subject is MRA and/or anti-misandry. I'm not above the occasionally "cooked" post (there are several waiting in the wings) for reader enjoyment. By and large, this new direction should enable me to post with greater frequency.

Women ARE Stupid -The Irrefutable Proof 1

For those of you who have experienced a double-take at the title - yes, I'm back and spoiling for a fight! I'll admit that I haven't been especially conscientious about updating my blog. But then I've wanted to. All it needed was for a subject to present itself suitably erudite and blog-worthy. This then, is the start of a new series devoted to the topic of woman bashing.

The femme fatales had it coming. A long time coming. In the name of equality aka feminism, they've stolen away men's rights and made becoming a man odious. In the interim when I discovered the MGTOW website (Men Going Their Own Way) - mgtow.net - I've garnered an entire fusillade of arguments against women and feminism.

But the proof is in the pudding! I hear you cry. Yes, I promised the proof and here is proof number one.

This happened yesterday in the public washrooms of Citylink. A woman walked into the men's room! Admittedly the door was open. Ah, but did she check the sign on the door before descending like a battleship in full sail? No. Nor did she notice that there were at least 3 men at the sinks staring at her, or the fact that I was on my way out and was vis-à-vis her. Only when she encountered the line of urinals and several more men with their you-know-whats hanging out, doing what men do did she turn tail screaming. And of course it was the man's fault - it always is!

A current anecdote claims a woman's mind is cleaner. The punch line being that they change it more often! But its incidents like this that remind me a woman is not the whitewashed creature she makes herself out to be. And when I remember Carly Fiorina, I'm glad that I've taken the Vow of Brotherhood and Gone My Own Way.

Dear blog, I have just realised that a whole 6 months have gone by with no post -whooo! But then, that's me (as ABBA would say). I notice things, I cook posts (slowly) before I actually post them for what I hope is entertaining reading.
Anyway, I'm in the process of moving house with all the accoutrements that accompany a move. Everyone mentions this, but you don't really take notice till you move: when packing/unpacking you will come across items you never knew you possessed! Strange but true!
Still, the world progresses. A temporarily halted blog doesn't mean things don't happen. Much has occurred to catch my attention - the denigration of men (by women), the gay issue and now Chinese women. Posts will ensue to develop these alarming trends of thought. Watch this space.
But the headline which just caught my attention was that of a Chinese woman claiming that "Singaporean men are stupid".
I don't normally care for women, much less Chinese ones and utterly fail to see their charms -if they possess any that is. They are loud, uncouth, shrewish, demanding, greedy ... and these are their good points. So to read that headline, blazoning an article in the New Paper made me laugh. Who is this woman to make such a preposterous claim? Has she studied the Singaporean male so thoroughly to publish, without a shadow of doubt this statement? Has she forgotten that in several other issues, the international community daggers are pointed at China? viz. -
(1) the Mattel lead paint toy scandal;
(2) the pei du mamas;
(3) SARS;
(4) Qiqihar No. 2 Pharmaceutical Co -diglycol;
(5) organ trading;
(6) contaminated food & consumer products;
... etc., etc.,
In her case, uncouth, loutish and unlikely unlettered behemoth that she is, was probably slighted and goes all out in an offensive that can only spell doom for her and her ilk. She has probably counted on short-term memory to eradicate the fact that Chinese prostitutes target old men mainly for their CPF money. If I haven't forgotten that, you can bet there are people out there who haven't either!
But I'm not going to use precious blog column inches on what is essentially a waste of time. Watch this space though - the blogger is back!

A Corsetière's Saga

“You must try on this bra! Then I can determine how it fits you.”
Simple words. An everyday occurrence in the lingerie shops. Ah, but this was no ordinary lingerie shop that my girlfriend and I found ourselves in. This was the crème de la crème of French lingerie purveyors – Chalone.
But first, a little background. My girlfriend is a plus-sized woman, a “big girl” in our parlance. With plus sizes come big busts, and therein lies the problem. If that wasn’t enough already, Mother Nature has to complicate matters further. You see, when Nature endows, She doesn’t make it symmetrical. It is a known fact that if you have a pair of something – anything – they will never, ever, be exactly the same, i.e. your right arm will not be a mirror image of the left. We men know (we do, don’t we?) that our left testicle is slightly larger than the right and it descends lower as well. So it is with the female breast. One will be slightly larger (or smaller, depending on how you look at it) than the other. In my girlfriend’s case, the difference is noticeable.
Thus commences the Bra Saga. Having traipsed through countless shopping expeditions with her in search of The Perfect Bra, I have come away enlightened, educated, infinitely amused, and with a treasure-trove of memories to savour for posterity.
Beginning with the basic premise that my girlfriend is lop-sided, the Saga begins with fitting for the larger breast. Add to that the fact that she is big – 40D/42D – and you are looking at real problems. What problems? you say. Well, to start with, the local shops appear not to cater for the plus-sized woman. It seems everywhere we go, we are tormented by gorgeous, lacy bras, that stop at size 36D, or 38B if Lady Luck happens to be smiling on that particular day!
Now for a man, I am considered to be extremely well-informed about bra and cup sizes. And by the way, cup sizes refer to the fullness of the breast as the images accompanying this post will show. (Many thanks to the person who supplied these images and who kindly allowed for them to be used! You have my eternal gratitude!) So to encounter bras that stop at size 36D is nothing short of sacrilegious! Are Singaporean women truly that tiny? Are we a nation of petites? Definitely not, as you will see the “Pirelli tyres” jouncing along Orchard Road any day. Or the occasional woman bursting out of a bra or top that is wasting its time trying! And then there are the expatriate women – where are they obtaining their bras from? Surely it is too much of a hassle to order in, even though the Internet is a rich source – or do I stand corrected?
The men aren’t spared this either. A recent campaign by Triumph entitled “The Men Do Get It” aims to educate men who fight shy of purchasing intimate apparel for their girlfriends/wives. It is an evening where men, and only men, are allowed into the lingerie department. There, assisted by knowledgeable assistants, they make informed and no doubt “tasteful” purchases for the women in their lives.
It’s a start, one supposes. I myself am tickled pink at the lengths it will take for a man to come to terms with what his wife/girlfriend wears under her clothes. Not to mention there are the added complications of underwiring, padding and the lack thereof, of balcony and full cup bras, moulded cups, tulip cuts and extenders – the list is endless. In all fairness, my girl laughs at me whenever I complain that the men’s underwear section here does not cater for us unfortunates endowed with large genitals. I am often heard to lament about “fallout” – a term we use regardless of whether the subject at hand is an inadequately supported bust, or improperly contained penis and testicles. So fair’s fair in love and war – Bra Wars that is!
Now a new and major player has entered the Bra War arena: Avon. Avon? I can just see the quizzical and furrowed brows. Should you be thinking that this is the same Avon who supplied cosmetics in the pre-war era of the 1940s, of little old ladies with faces disarmingly over-rouged and Aspercrèmed, toting their little blue bags, then you’re not very far out. Except that in Millennium Singapore, Avon has become a multi-level company touting everything from cosmetics to perfumes, from bras to supplements, and even curtains! What hasn’t changed is that you still obtain your Avon goodies from the “Avon Ladies”. And only from them.
So these days, we no longer shop in the major department stores for bras only to be disappointed in the long run, although we still sneak a peek for kicks. We still talk of cups, underwiring and padding. We still drool over bras frothy with lace. But instead of the shops, it’s within the pages of the fortnightly Avon Catalogue (or Campaign as its known). That much remains the status quo. I’ve recently begun taking eurycoma longfolians (better known as tongkat ali or Ali’s Walking Stick), technically illegal in Singapore but I’ve seen it in the pharmacies disguised as a vitality supplement for men. I can assure you the only vitality it’ll invoke is “down there”. My girlfriend’s answer to this is kacip Fatima – a rainforest herb purportedly used for women’s wellness. Dig a little deeper into the research however, and a more covert result is promised! Both products are readily available from Avon, are a far cry from the “Avon cosmetics” of the past, and have catapulted the company well into the 21st century!
So whither the Bra? Fashion seems to have the last word, or should I say, the last laugh. I myself cannot fathom how a dress or blouse can hang on the flat chests currently in favour among the jet set of Singapore women; more on this subject in a later post. Some of the more enlightened women claim that they are so as their boyfriends cannot abide large breasts. They should be advised to seek a boyfriend with a correspondingly sized penis! Avon notwithstanding, at the end of the tunnel are the words of New York Times columnist Anne Hollander: “Breasts have lost much of their mythological aura and acquired some needed reality. … Emphasizing breasts is too great a pleasure to abandon.”

Why Can't The English Teach Their Children How To Speak?

So exclaimed Professor Higgins, when despairing of Eliza Dolittle’s inability to conquer her Cockney. Today’s Singaporean, whether young or old, doesn’t conquer Cockney. Rather it is Chinglish/Malglish/Tamglish that has triumphed over them!
Some explanations are in order. Approximately two decades ago, the “Speak Mandarin Campaign” was launched. ‘We are in danger of losing our Chinese-ness’ trumpeted the campaign slogans. And so for many years, Mandarin was relentlessly pursued to the exclusion of all else. Dialects were ruthlessly extirpated, much to the horror of the older generation. Now at the turn of the millennium, it seems that English is having the last laugh for we are smack-dab in the midst of a “Speak Good English” campaign – with billboards and decorated buses extolling proper English usage complete with examples!
Somewhere along the lines, the powers-that-be and the originators of the “Speak Mandarin Campaign” have neglected (overlooked perhaps? though I think not) the blatant fact that (a) Singapore is polyglot and English is the glue that binds, (b) English is the dominant language of the educational system – we certainly profess to be conducting the GCSE examinations, both ‘O’ and ‘A’ levels, here, and (c) we are aiming to be a global city with a large influx of foreigners (read “Westerners”).
All this has yielded an amusing result – children and youth who are proficient in neither tongue, i.e. neither pure English nor pure Mandarin, but a nauseating mongrel which detractors have termed “Chinglish”. If you noticed the graphic that accompanies this post, that is a classic example of Chinglish with more than a fair dollop of Singlish thrown in for good measure (pressed down and shaken together). Which, by the way, was a snippet overheard in an exchange between two adolescent female students from a top-ranked academic institution on the MRT en route home. For purposes of diplomacy and in deference to free speech, that school cannot be named here in my post. It can be identified if I reveal, on dit, that the girls wore emerald green skirts with white blouses, think they’re God’s gift to Man, and the institution occupies a prominent lot in the Bishan area.
When I was in school, English held pride of place. We spoke Mandarin only to our language teachers, and only in the designated slots within the curriculum. Today, Mandarin has become the lingua franca of even salesladies in posh boutiques selling French designer apparel – quelle horreur! A recent survey of local undergraduates in an English class at the British Council failed to unearth a single grammatical sentence! And then there are the pronunciations! However, I must convey my heartfelt thanks to the MediaCorp Studios production team for correcting my faulty French pronunciation. As a French speaker I was taught that couture was pronounced “koo-’ter”, or its accepted Anglicized version, “koo-’chure”. After watching the trailers for Project Runway’s Season 3, the faultiness of my pronunciation was brought up short after listening to the voiceover – “KER’er-‘cherr”. MediaCorp, a French-speaker offers you eternal gratitude for the correction!
Even the media is not spared. Signs abound proudly featuring mangled English – of the “Ladies can have fits upstairs” variety; mispronunciation is rampant here too, and not just of foreign languages. Oh no dear sir, I’m speaking of good old English! Just the other day I heard a voiceover on the many trailers and advertisements our free-to-air channels are deluged with ad nauseam, hailing the “preh-meeee-airrrrre” (premiere) of a movie spectacular, the rest of said voiceover delivered in orotund, gloriously overdone and fruitily plummy vowels. Or how about a mini-trailer waxing lyrical about Oprah? I was nonplussed until I realized the subject being discussed was opera, or more specifically, Chinese opera - wayang.
And then there’s The Arena. How could we forget The Arena? MediaCorp’s latest stab at resurrecting the Debates of yesteryear. Listening to pretentious 14-, 15- and 16-year olds attempting to deliver arguments and repartee, all wrapped up in haughty, overdone accents is amusing if one has a taste for masochism. I didn’t. After a bare 20 minutes of such tripe I found I could not face dinner. Maybe the slimming establishments could take note – watching The Arena is good for curbing appetite as I’ve discovered food held zero appeal after an episode.

Returning to the subject at hand, how came we by this sad state of affairs? There is an underlying reason for this – everything must have a reason, naturellement? In the late 80s, not long after I left school, some “expert” in the Ministry of Education postulated that English Grammar was a dinosaur. This person – I still can’t figure out if it was a he or she – then purported that students were far better off learning how to use English naturally, as opposed to dissecting sentences with lost causes such as Past Participle and Present Continuous Tense. Thus it came about that the English syllabus was rewritten in 1991 to accommodate a more “organic” approach to the learning and usage of English. This brainchild was named CLUE – Course for the Learning and Usage of English. In my honest opinion, it was utterly clueless!
“Aye, there’s the rub” as Hamlet would say. It would seem that learning English the “organic” way works in the West as there, English is the natural speech modicum. In Asia, and especially Singapore, however much we profess to globalization, the average parent speaks to his/her child in Mandarin (“Thank YOU ‘Speak Mandarin Campaign’!”). Now a whole generation of Singaporean children and youth speak the mongrels of their race, be it “Chinglish”, “Malglish” or “Tamglish”. So if I speak, or seem to speak in exclamation marks, it’s because we are seeing a tidal influx of youth whose ideas of class are speaking fragmented, rudimentary English with an affected accent. If ever there was a sound reason for reviving the guillotine this would win hands down!
Some time ago, a young and pretentious schoolteacher of dubious English provenance sought to loudly question the fact that local children spoke appalling English. My riposte was that it should come as no surprise, as for them, English is relegated to fourth or fifth precedence. She, of course, demanded to know the reason for this; and was duly offended when I answered: “Well, first and foremost are all the vulgarities. Naturally, they have their dialects, usually one or more if their parents are from different clans. Then comes Singlish. After that is Mandarin because of the Mother Tongue movement. And finally there’s English if they have a mind to it!” She was mortified and I say serves her jolly well right!
I think I’m better off speaking Esperanto!

I'm back!!

Phew! After months of grappling with a hectic schedule and a flickering network connection, I'm back blogging - I've come to the awful realization that its been almost 6 months of silence!
Since that day in August when the connections went awry, much has happened. I've finally put on weight (OK, OK its only 2 pounds, but when you consider the last time I gained weight was during my conscription days in 1987, you're looking at a minor miracle!); broke up with my girlfriend and saw her return; had minor altercations with hair (yes, we're talking about the hair on your head!); came a-crupper with modern-day suffragettes; and had to seriously rethink my stance on undergarments! All this will be revealed in future posts.
Upon further reading, some of you may be wondering: is this a blog in the purest sense of the word? If you're thinking along the lines that a blog is an online diary, then no. I certainly don't blog daily - my life isn't sufficiently colourful enough for that! But I do "cook" my posts carefully, each one reveals my thoughts or feelings on a particular topic or issue. And that, is also the essence of blogging.

Of Idols, Idol worship & Network Reality Shows

I haven't been posting lately as I had a frustrating problem with my wireless signal flickering intermittently. But its a blessing in disguise as it has given me time to cook this very interesting (I hope) post.
Singapore has been in the grip of Idol fever for the past few months now. Yes, we're talking about Singapore Idol, our local offshoot of the hit reality singing contest American Idol, of which season 5 ended earlier this year with the crowning of southern crooner Taylor Hicks. This looks to get worse as we near the denouement - the finals.
The local free-to-air channels have their dose (overdose?) of reality shows, spurred by the success of such hits as The Amazing Race, So You Think You Can Dance?, America's Next Top Model (ANTM), Project Runway (PjR), Diva On A Dime and Survivor. American Idol spawned a whole slew of nauseating Asian clones like Project Superstar, Campus Superstar and, possibly the worst of them all, Star Host. And all conducted in affected Mandarin. More on our local language foibles in a later post.
A reality show's formula is simple - narrow the field from hundreds of thousands of hopefuls to a handful of finalists. These then compete, week after week; and each week one unlucky contestant is booted out until one finally prevails. That's probably why shows like ANTM and PjR are so successful. They are competitions in the real sense of the word.
ANTM is a modelling contest like no other, the brainchild of supermodel Tyra Banks. Each week the aspiring models are given a challenge to conquer and a photoshoot. They are then judged on these by a panel of celebrity judges and each week, one girl is sent home. PjR is a designing contest on a different level. Each week on PjR, the finalist designers must design outfits in response to a theme or an inspirational idea. They are given money to purchase fabric and are given a time frame to execute and complete their designs - usually two days, sometimes less. Professional models of their choice then parade these creations down a catwalk (hence the show's name) and celebrity designer judges rate them and vote one designer out every week.
Which is why the Idol shows are at once amusing and frustrating.
Idol is the only network reality show of its kind where the judges' remarks are incidental. Its the fans who decide who stays and who goes by casting their votes - the idol wannabe with the least votes is the one who goes home that week. Singapore is the only country in the Idol franchise where we are bombarded every week in the run-up to the performances (called "spectaculars") to (a) vote for your favourite Idol and (b) its a singing contest.
This is where it gets so funny it borders on the ludicrous. The two points (a) and (b) are at cross-purposes with the fans. From what I can see, Singapore Idol is emphatically NOT a singing contest, but one of popularity, evinced by the fans' piercing shrieks and screams which punctuate every performance as one of the judges, Ken Lim, was quick to point out.
Still the Idol franchise has been rife with shockers and has-beens. In season two of the American series, hot favourite Clay Aiken was pipped to the title by 1 vote! Reuben Stoddard won season 2 but where is he now? Similarly in American Idol 3, soul singer Fantasia Barrino edged out powerhouse Diana De Garmo, although fans were later heard to complain that away from the hysteria of competition her voice sounded like a cross between a duck and a sheep in pain. Neither singer has had much airtime since. Now season 5 and Chris Daughtrey who was chucked out 1 performance short of being in the top 3 because fans got over-confident and he lost out on votes.
Our local Idols have fared much worse. In Singapore, fame is a fad akin to fashion. As Heidi Klum of PjR says so aptly, "one day you're in, and the next, you're out!" Singapore Idol 2 was two years in the making as, according to the organizers, "we wanted the 1 Idols to develop their careers". Huh? What careers? Taufik, the original winner, was wildly popular for about 5 months after he won. All that remains of him today are his advertisements promoting 7-11 stores. Similarly Olinda Cho, second runner-up whose svelte figure graces the adverts for Royal Bodyline. Yes, but what of her singing? Where now are Sylvester Sim, Maia Lee and a host of other Idol wannabes who are mouldering in the annals of history? The answer = nada.
There is a sinister undercurrent here. As I watch the shows, it seems that the talented ones, the ones who should win, don't and are shown the door long before they deserve to be. Witness the exit of Nick Verreos. One of the best designers on PjR2 was denied a spot in the top three. His nemesis, Santino Rice, had an outfit that was glued together and was falling apart even as it came down the runway, yet Rice made it to the top 3. The only consolation was that Rice was given the cut at the very end, leaving Vietnamese-American Chloe Dao to win season 2.
Now SI2 and we're one performance short of the top 3. Four local Idols remain and Matilda d'Silva has departed, the most controversial casualty of the Idol voting system. I was sorry to see her go because amidst the farce that is Singapore Idol, she had the one thing the other Idol hopefuls did not - a voice. She, above all else, qualified that this is a SINGING competition. Yet homeward bound she has gone for the fans have decided that a teeny-bopping monkey and a St. Bernard lookalike are better Idol material than she. C'est la vie.
So Singapore Idol has degenerated, in spades, into a popularity contest. Never mind that you can't sing the song, I don't care if you sing flat or off-key, so long as I find that the way your hair hangs in your eyes is cute, or that I think you're a teenaged hunk/boy stud (I don't by the way) you stay on. A close friend of mind once said that Singapore Idol was "good for a laugh any day" but I think from now on I'll pass and take a leaf out of Heidi Klum's book - "they may be in but I'm out!" (say with thick German accent for effect.)
